Sorry to say, I'm out gunned in this forum.
So far I only have one little CZ 45, 6.35 caliber. I have several guns but only this one 25 cal.
I do love it tho. It's a lot of fun to shoot. Looks almost new.
I'll try to post a pic if anyone is interested.

That is a cool little gun bb. They still sell a slightly redesigned version in Europe as the CZ 92. Yet, they can't import it because of the ATF point system. So, you have a pretty rare bird.
 
Bought the new CZ 75 SP 01 Phantom recently. Since I already knew what to expect with the trigger, I'm not disappointed. No problems so far after over 200+ rounds. Maybe even 300. Shooting it so much I've lost count. Very accurate gun. Nice finish. Tried the flatter backstrap but it didn't fit my hand as well. Changed it back without even firing a round. Also can use the 10 round mags from my old CZ. But 18 rounds runs really smooth through it and it's easy to keep on target. Glad I decided to get it instead of the used G 21 I was looking at.

I bought it in the 1970's for $25 with a holster and a box of shells. I thought it was a good deal.
I found a piece exactly like it in a local gun store. The only difference was the caliber was stamped .25 cal. Mine is stamped 6.35. All the pics I've seen of it always had the 6.35 stamp.
Any ideas why that one had .25?
I might just get it so I'll have a pair.

About six years ago I bought my first CZ-52, and followed it up with two more. I really liked the pistol, and it is still my favorite gun just to shoot. I was fortunate to pick up some original spare magazines, but would like more. Does anyone have a source for good mags?
As much as I like my 1911 clone, I still can shoot the CZ-52 more accurately, unless I am using the laser sight on the 1911. Probably because I started shooting the CZ-52 before I needed bifocals. (I'm not that bad, just can make tighter groups with the CZ)

I'm not sure when or why they switched to the .25 stamp. I would guess it was just to conform with other guns on the American market.
 
Jonah, that's how I felt when I got my CZ SP-01 Phantom, never looked back, dadgum thing is perfect. :) I use the 16 round CZ-75 mags for CCW, (yes, in a High Noon holster it can be carried concealed!), and the 18 round mags for spares/range/home use. Great pistol!

Other than scouring the usual sources for the OEM magazines for the CZ52 the only aftermarket mags I've heard were any good are from here:

Avoid the Triple-K mags at all costs.

If I ever get some spare cash I'll be getting two of the Keepshooting mags for my CZ52.
 
I have noticed that my PCR's rubber grips are leaving a black stain-residue on my shooting thumb. I'm thinking it might be because the grips are new and it will go away with wear. Or i could just replace them with some slick wood grips!
 
I never considered a CZ until I held one the other day. Oh my! What a nice trigger also. The only problem was that the metal mag lip stuck out and hit me right in the middle of my little finger. I ended up with a Sig that is back to NH. Now I see the new models have a plastic finger extension that would take care of the problem. Now I am in lust again. :banghead:

Thanks, already knew about the Triple-K mags, I have four, would somebody like a great deal on them?:evil:
But these I hadn't heard of. The reviews sound great, I will definitely give them a try.

Damn! I just spent the last two days running thru this thread and I've got the CZ itch! I had been planning on picking up a BHP to built a new limited match gun but the phantom has got me thinking different. I have seen quite a few other shooters running the CZ, witness pistols in my matches and all speak highly of them (not counting witness CS). My problem is I really like the .38 super and it would appear that I would have to go with a witness to get that chambering.

Still....the phantom is a downright good looking pistol...i suppose I could break out the 9MM dies and chuck em' on the Dillon. Mmmmm

Does anyone know of a good IWB holster for the CZ-82/83. Oddly enough the one that came with mine from century was a very nice condition brown leather holster marked SIG P225-6 West Germany, nice overall but no good for the 82.

I would take that as some kind of sign, that I need to buy a Sig P-226 so the holster doesn't go to waste. :D

Also if you are going to carry a CZ-82 in a IWB holster, you might want to consider some of the Ultra thin grips for it.

Armoredman, id like to cast but really don't have the time. Berryd are nice but I just get my bullets locally. Billy bullets, Rudy (the owner) is about 7 miles from me so I just run to his place. No shipping is great.

BTW, what do the CZ 9MM barrels mic out at normally? .355 or .356?
 
Than you armoredman and CZguy. I looked at the marschal grips and if i was going to put something that good looking on it I wouldn't have the heart to conceal them. Very bueatiful. A two tone SIG 226 is high up on my " next gun" list .
 
Action Arms AT-84 question(s)

This CZ-75 clone was built in Switzerland from TZ parts, to my understanding. Am I correct ?

What magazines directly interchange - CZ? EAA ?

Apparently I forgot to announce my joining of the club several months ago when I found a barely used PCR at a gun show for $430!

It literally shoots better than my gigantic Beretta M9.
 
I've had two AT-84s handguns, and they were true CLONES of the CZ-75. I never had a problem with mags, but since the true CZ-75s (not the "B" models) were often picky about mags, you may run into problems, now and then.

I have a custom AT-84s, now, and it's simply the best shooting and handling gun I've got. (I have an M&P Pro that is very close, and will shoot it competitively, one of these days.) Both the AT and the M&P Pro have had a lot of gunsmithing done to them.

Here's a photo of the customized AT-84s. (I was told that the custom work was done by Jim Boland, a big name gunsmith for many years, but have NO proof that this was the case. The work on the gun looks like work I've seen on known Boland guns.) Note: the slide has been plated; it was originally a matte black finish -- which deteriorated over time.

I would not hesitate to pick up an AT-84s if offered one at a reasonable price.
