The dirtiest gun I have ever seen.

worked security with a guy who bought his gun from a pawn shop, and never even checked to make sure it worked! One day after work, we decided to go shoot, and I was amazed at the crud inside it, and sure enough, the cylinder wouldn't turn if you tried to shoot it D/A, and would barely turn if you cocked the hammer. The owner of the range laughed when he took the sideplate off (Taurus .38) and the whole thing was full of oil, unburned powder and other crud. After it was all leaned and oiled, it shot ok.

The closest one I've seen since then was a Dan Wesson Model 15 I bought off an auction. It was full of unburned powder and crunched when dry fired. I can take a DW down to parts in minutes, so it was ready to go in about 20 minutes, probably clean for the first time since it was sold. It was actually in nice shape, mechanically. It looked so good in the pics, and went so cheap, I should have known there would be a "catch", but DW's are hard to break, so I was happy.
