The fallout from CO's gun control

I live in Colorado and yes we had a bad run this term from our so called leaders.

Now we have a long battle ahead of us to take back some of what we lost, but it will get done in what now seems to be a long hard battle for our rights.

Next year we will see may other states and at a federal level as well in our stuggle and I hope my children have something left for their children as far as freedom to bear arms.

Living in TX - I can attest to many Hispanics who are progun. Many compete in the venue I do.

The issue is not whether there are enough progun Hispanics. It is whether the GOP for other issues will appeal to them. But we are drifting way off topic discussing TX's future.

I started a thread a few months ago about talking to the anti's. I seek then out and hold a nice conversation with them. After some talking and a lot of coffee I convince then to shoot with me at my monthly refresher. So far I've convinced all that guns weren't the problem and the laws that we had needed to be enforced. 7/8 of them now owns guns.
What have I done here? Taken an anti and convinced one more person to our side. Ahh but he/she has anti friends that they are now convincing. When we go out to the farm to shoot we have to brake it up into firing lines now. It started with a friend and I. Now we have over 20 people get together for bbq and a little fun.

^^^ bingo. This is how we win this war, straight up. Get people unfamiliar with firearms and firearms culture, introduce them to it, have them be responsible, and enjoy it - that's one vote for us, and a lost vote for them.

DSling: Well done! Maybe they and their contacts will promote shooting sports at a geometric rate.

Even if those former antis try out an AR-15 for the first time, do many of them who seem to have been against the basic concept still feel like regular (non LEO) civilians should Not be able to buy them or AKs etc with magazines larger than five or ten rds. (insert the proper number)?
Or would most of those types say what you want to hear, just to avoid a debate? If they are coworkers, they usually want to avoid lingering friction at work.

I OC when I have time to spare and the scoffs are met with a polite greeting along with a point/counterpoint conversation. These are not the people I work with. I haven't met anyone in my field that is anti gun.

My few dollars are insignificant to the entire state of CO but very important to me. Boycotting products and services from anti states makes me feel better even if it is has no more effect than throwing stones at the tanks of an invading force. I dont live in ca, ny, il, or co so my only opportunity to vote is with my dollars. I was going to replace my grill this summer but all the Made in America grills i looked at were made in Illinois. While that seemed better than china, i decided to buy some internal parts made in Georgia to make my current grill last a few more years. My food seems to taste better. If the entire group of gun owners get principled/obsessed/dedicated/weird like me, then it will have impact.
