Sorry, Storm, not wrong. Not wrong at all.
The gun was never, NEVER, intended for civilian hands. I was around when FN patently said so. The early ones that DID get into civilian hands were not in any way intended to get into civilian hands. I am not making anything up. Do not accuse me of lying. Do not do it again. Do not.
The civilian round is nothing special and hardly worth getting worked up over. Prices are stable because the levels of demand do not meet, by any margin, other levels. So, a pistol that is no better made than a SIG, Glock, or CZ, but is 50% or 100% more expensive due mostly to its novelty (artificially inflated in the beginning when FN announced it would not be made available to civilians), and shoots a round that is not impressive at all but costs the same as other far more accepted rounds is your cup of tea. Fine. To get the round it is designed for, you can spend $10 to $15 per round, or more than $500 per box. Enjoy.
But, not everyone will agree with you.
