I have been a Glock user for about 12 years now. I have owned 6 Glocks, but I currently only have one, a G21SF.
The ones I owned in the past were:

G19 - I loved this gun, unfortunately I had to sell it when I was really broke. I will get another one ASAP.

G21 - I liked this one, but the grip was just a tad too big, so I sold it. My new G21SF fits me much better.

G23 - I sold this one shortly after I bought it. I just could not warm up to the .40 cal.

G26 - I liked this little gun, but I found I carried the G19 more, and the little "baby Glock" just wasn't getting used. It got traded away towards a rifle. I may get another one, just because it's so darn cute.(I can't believe I said that!)

G34 - I was going to use this as a competition gun, but I never got into any competition. It was a joy to shoot, accurate(I could shoot a 1" group at 25yds with it if I did my part), and light recoil(felt like a .22). I may get another one, but I'm not sure.

Then my 6th Glock is of course the G21SF already mentioned. Of all the ones listed above, I miss the G19 the most, and that is one I will definitly be replacing. It's just such a great carry gun.
I have owned a lot of different pistols, but I always seem to go back to Glocks. They just plain work.

21 and 21SF are different in what way. the one i have says 21. should i trade it for SF?

The SF means "short frame". It is just as thick as a standard G21, but the grip is shorter front to back than a standard G21.
The SF comes in three different variations.
1. Picatinny rail with ambi mag catch
2. Standard rail with ambi mag catch(this is the version I have)
3. Standard rail and standard mag catch(this version seems scarce and hard to find)

If you have a G21SF it will have the letters SF on the right side of the frame above the trigger guard. The slides are marked the same.

Here are a couple pics.

In the right side pic, you can see the ambi mag catch, and the letters SF on the frame above the trigger guard. The slide markings are just like a standard G21, the only difference is the frame.

Thank you. Mine is not SF, and I think I would like to get SF since I want to put laser on.

No, you are wrong, it means "short frame". If you don't believe me go ask Glock.
In fact in the latest edition of the Glock Annual, they refer to it as "short frame", because the grip is shorter front to back than the old G21. It is not any slimmer than the old style.

Well I have not seen the SF in person, but from my 21 and the pic of this SF it looks like "short" rather than slim.

Can I join? I just bought a new G19. I haven't fired it yet, but it's pretty cool. I'm mainly just trying to learn more about it and shooting in general.

On advice from a gun who's a serious shooter and Police officer I shot a bunch of different guns at my local range and some at the PD range. I liked the M&P and I liked the Sigs (All the coppers were telling me to get a Sig, but I don't have that kinda cash). But I liked the G19 the most and maybe the M&P. The guy at my local range said to get the Glock because Glocks are better.

I can't wait to hear more about Glocks.

Relax. I never said I don't believe you, and I certainly don't need to go ask Glock. I had read in various places that it stood for 'slim frame' and was sharing what I thought to be the case. I stand corrected.

I don't read the other forum dedicated to Glocks because of people's comments to other members and the general attitude on that forum. I'm here to share what I know, learn from everyone else, and just enjoy talking about Glock pistols.

Thank you.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to come off like that. Now that I've re-read what I wrote, it seems I was a little short with you and I apologize for that.

M1Shooter,

No harm, no foul, but thank you nonetheless. My local shop has a G21 SF in the case, and I'm going to go look at it later to see how big the difference is. I have shot the G21 in the past, but thought it was just a bit too thick to be comfortable with. I've always wanted a Glock in .45, so perhaps this will be what I'm looking for. The G23 won't be around too much longer.

Took my G19 out again yesterday and man, I love it just as much as the first time I shot it. I think it's time to go find a second one.

Glock 27, first one, I really like how modular the system is, although I have to say I like my USP more.

Sweet looking pair in that fourth pic down, CountGlockula. The green and black contrast nicely.

Very nice 2nd generation Glocks, NEtracker! Love that classic look. You're not helping my cause any (as in trying to resist the urge to go find another G19 today)!! Keep myself occupied and away from the gun store. Yeah, that's it. That's the ticket.

Pppppt. Who am I kidding? OK, just going to look. That's it. :neener:

I have a 17....still the gun I shoot the best.I can not shoot it for months and pick it up,and still shoots where I want it too.Sometimes I wonder why I have other guns at all.Don't tell the wife...:uhoh:
