Finished up my 5.56 / .223 pistol build, shoots great too
Sold my DMR to a buddy for coyote hunting, and built a KISS carbine:
My new deer rifle. 358 yeti. It’s an exact clone of my 7.62x39 upper above
Ok ill bite. This is my favorite after tinkering around for years. Yeah, i know... its bought not built. Runs like a sewing machine.
Ddm4v5 - all original internals and furniture including the rail covers. Eotech (2AA version) , vortex magnifier, cheap and crappy ruger flip up irons that cowitness with the eotech and can be deployed if magnifier is flipped out of the way.
Only problem is i only shoot it enough to stay proficient, ARs aren't my prefered shootin' stick. But sometimes it is the tool for the job.
Here’s my DelTon Echo 308. I added a 13.5” keymod rail in place of the factory 7” round one, STR stock, Nikon Monarch 2.5-10x42 scope, Nikon mounts, and PSA 2-stage trigger.
Ok, I'll play. Still had this pic from an old post someplace. Currently working on an IDF clone.
Budget Frankengun, replaced the CavArms one piece lower with a PSA MOE+ lower. Upper is a collection of oddball including Aero Upper and free floating hand guard, Gisselle Super Gas Block, AR Stoner gas tube, PSA Toolcraft BCG, MagPul MBUS ...and a $10 Bear Creek Arms Veterans Day Giveaway heavy barrel in .223 Wylde. It works great, love it. Disregard crappy sling, removed, need a good one. Love those MagPul 40s for "home use". The SIG Romeo5 works like a charm, love that little thing.
A few of mine. I assembled all of these except the Colt AR9.
Top to bottom:
Lightweight PSA upper on a Aero lower
PSA freedom upper on Aero lower
Aero M5 .308
Rock River 20"
A few more
Top to bottom
A first gen M&P Sport
A PSA 10.5 pistol upper on an Anderson lower
A Colt 6920
Love the GI front sights. Way to keep it real! Those are nice, man.
Latest pistol build. 10.3" on a Daniel Defense receiver set.
Do you know what it weighs as it sits, with or without a loaded mag?
Nope, but it's pretty light, and handy. The Comp M4s, and the folding adapter both add mass. (as does magazine if loaded) I'm not typically one to worry about each ounce, but it's one of my lighter ones. I went with the BA Hanson barrel in .625 gas block diameter. It will be my travel companion, (Jeep gun) as the SBR is too much hassle to travel with... I hate asking permission to go out of state.
Yeah, I was thinking that it looked really handy, and was just curious what those convenient features add. Looks great!
Here’s one I built for my friend. It has a 20” fluted 223 Wylde Wilson Barrel
I guess this sorta counts - it's an AR-15 lower .
Fairly standard PSA lower paired with a Magpul fixed stock plus a folding attachment, and an 18.5" BRN-180 upper.
The folding attaching in particular I like because not only does this upper allow firing with the stock folded, but it also adds about 1.25" to the LOP which I always found to be too short on this stock model.
The IDF Clone I mentioned I was working on a few posts above:
New Aimpoint 3x magnifier. Me happy. Me very happy.
GUMBY... Or, GUNBY?
Pokey, maybe. But I don't see Gumby.
My turn. My second attempt at a build, This one is a .224 Valkyrie. Cerakote color is WW2 OD Green.
What's with the ginormous wheel?
