Posts: 3,664 First, the namecalling on either side needs to stop immediately. Not only do you do a disservice to whatever side you are arguing for; you are violating the forum rules.

Second, there are numerous threads relating to John Kerry, swift boats, etc. If you want to discuss that topic, please be courteous enough to revive one of those threads and not take this thread off topic.

If you can't argue the facts on this topic, then take it to PM.

This is exactly what I was doing when I "revived" the topic in my "BUSH/KERRY WAR RECORD thread, which was almost immediately closed. I was courteous, presented facts, and did no name-calling. I was even following a respected moderator's wishes. What happened?
This is the "High Road"?
This subject is constantly getting other threads closed by taking them off-topic. Yet when I provide a thread specifically for it, I get flamed and closed.
Conservative members are constantly trashing Kerry, Clinton, Democrats and Liberals. But when I point out solid evidence against Bush, I get attacked and insulted. Even accused of being a "troll".
This is the "High Road"?
This isn't even Freedom of Speech.

"How loudly they cry when it is THEIR idols being smashed".

If you read the description of the Legal and Political forum, you will see it is for discussion of matters that relate to civil rights and firearms ownership. Technically, a discussion of an election that occured 2 years ago would seem off topic.

Secondly, there is no such thing as freedom of speech on a forum owned and operated by private citizen. You are here because the owners let you be here. If the owners/moderators don't like what you say, they can close your thread and even ban you, just as you would throw out an impolite house guest.

Finally, while your feelings may be hurt that someone called you a troll, you seem to be doing your best to intentionally bait people into argument, which is the defining characteristic of a troll.

Forums like this are open to the public. They are not public property.

Bash away all you want on conservatives, Bush, et al, but comparing them to liberals, Kerry, et al isn't the way. Both camps stink, and I really think political parties should be disbanded, reduced to mere endorsements.

Baiting people into argument is ok, but he is baiting people into irrelevant and fruitless discussion. Many of the topics he posts on are inflammatory as well, so yeah, I would classify him as a troll. The only thing he hasnt done is post an "abortion is murder" thread, and since he is clearly a left-wing troll, that isnt likely unless he creates a religious troll (which should be even shorter lived with the ban on religious discussion).

If this were the DU echo chamber, he would have been banned several weeks ago.

Hi Boggyman,

I went through your previous posts and it looks like they are ALL anti Bush. While we all do have our own political views, it seems like you are using this site for nothing but political slants. If you need a site where you can vent your political views I will be happy to give you a few.

Kevin

p.s. Do you even own a firearm? In your previous posts I didn't find ANY mention of firearms ownership.

If you have a problem with a moderator, please take it up with that moderator via PM. It is not open for debate in open forum.
