Wow! :what: A 2.5" Python and a Lawman snub are on my want list. If I had a 2.5" Python I'm certain I would carry it daily.

I too like big(ger) snubbys

enduring 38s

try this at home, 2 sw 38s[1 is an airwt]both with crimson grips your favorite ammo ,2 targets spaced 1-6 ft. apart , you'll amaze yourself !

I often carry this horrible looking M40 from 1964. Since +P is loaded well below maximum pressure for the caliber if it says "38 Special" on it to me it's "+P rated."

Not that I would ever rely on a load as weak and puny as factory +P to defend my life. I load my own 125 JHPs to a clocked 1,100 FPS for serious carry. So far no problem in any gun I use them in.

Lower photo shows another 40 in much better shape posing with some of those loads.

Not a real good picture, but a great pistol. When I got my CCL almost two years ago, I knew that I wanted a snubby first. I love revolvers and there is just something about a snub-nose.

C&L,

Thanks. I love your Smiths, especially the Model 66.

Here's a couple more of my snubbies.

I own two snubbies myself a 637 and a model 60, love them both. I owned the model 60 first and liked it but it has a three finger pachmyer grip and would not fit in most pockets. About a year ago I purchased the 637 "for my wife" and wow I love that little gun.

The OE boot grips are great and the little airweight is increadably light. On the first range trip with it I brought my model 60 to do some side by side comparison. The 60 has a nicer fit and finish and better trigger but the strange thing was the airweight to me and my wife has less precieved recoil.

After some trigger work, extensive dry fireing and 200 rounds the airweight now has an accepable trigger. I'm gonna have to get one for myself cause the wife won't let me use hers.

How about 6 for sure . Model 731 Ti Been in my pocket for 4 years now and since I did not want to give up SA capability I left it alone and have drawn it without snaging many times . Whatever floats your boat though - I understand why people do the DA only.

PS: Kantana - we have the same taste in at least one thing ! Now you went and done it - time for a night cap !

Really not much to modding one: hammer bob and grips

Lemme know if you want to do one. Be glad to help.

I'm looking for one now. I think I can handle the hammer bob and checkering the top, but if I run into any mysteries, I might drop you a PM.

I'm not usually a fan of the laminated type grips, but I'll be darned if they don't look just about perfect on that little beast.

I only have auto loaders but now I am thinking about a 38 snubby. Darn you all!!

Me too. I've owned larger revolvers in the past, but it's been like, a couple of decades. Quite a few of these pistols are simply too sexy. :)

Who you calling bigger and clumsier? It's longer and stronger

My 60-9 has been a trustworthy companion for many years; guess I'm a snub fan myself.
Regards,
Greg

Not sure if anyone commented on this pistol or not, but it's another beauty.

This is my Snub. I bought this when I was 21 (almost 9 years ago) to be my primary carry. It now sits safely in my bedside table, and has been 100% reliable.

I just bought another Agent today, a perfect candidate for modding.

I'll post pics asap.

Classic movies long ago imprinted a desire for snubbies into my child brain, both in TV shows and movies. Usually tough experienced chiefs pulling one from an ankle holster in the nick of time to save the day. :D
