Let's see. European made, polymer frame.. solid steel slide with metal
3 dot sights, Trijicon or Heinie option.

Striker fired like a Glock, but a superior trigger according
to many who own both brands.

Combat accuracy and total reliability..akin to both Glocks
and CZs. among other pistols like Berettas and SIGs.

Economy priced compared to other Euro pistols.

A combination of SIG and Glock qualities that comes out ideal.

Excellent ergonomics...

My first impression of this pistol is that it fit my hand
like a CZ. I read that some people have also had the same observation.

The more i think about it, read on the forum- and look at the
brochure.

I feel that this is the gun that CZ 'COULD' make if they tried.
Glad that somebody took the chance and did so.

Well...? The High Road. Sadism not nice. (Or was this a bourbon-induced fever dream?)

First thought was that it must be the XD too, until PCRCCW threw cold water on that idea. Now I'm stumped, what is it?

...Wait, I know. You're just teasing about the European made and its a Hi Point, right?:D

I think the CZ-100 would take off IF :

1- They reduced the trigger pull to a point that it was equal to or even slightly less than that achieved by H&Ks LEM trigger module.

2- Get rid of that ridiculous adjustable sight and cut the dovetail for a standard rear sight.

3- Replace the integral front sight with a removable unit ala Glock.

If these things were done, I'd probably carry mine instead of only taking it our occasionally for range sessions.

That's a tough one!

Let's see, it's made of plastic and (I assume), cheap metal stampings.

Has acceptable "combat accuracy", meaning that you can hit a silhouette target at ten yards.

Has a better trigger than a Glock - perhaps using the Red Ryder BB Gun system...

Priced better than other guns made of plastic and metal stampings...

And has better ergonomics than the Glock

I know, I know! It's a Colt 2000!

I think I remember seeing some new polymer CZ advertized in a gun rag..... Something TT convertible???? Is that what your talking about?

He said the gun CZ could make, implying that CZ didn't, but he's clearly evil so who knows.

There is also the CZ2000 which if I remember is Czech (I think), but not made by the same people that make the CZ-75 etc which is Czeska Zobrovzka (spelling?)

I am not a big fan of polymer framed guns. I do however LOVE my CZ-85 Combat! It is my all time favorite autoloader. Yes I like it more than the Hi-Power even. Yes, even more than a 1911....

The 2000 isnt made by CZUB....but made in the Czech Rep. and imported by another company...

I like this one alot....LOL

Sorry CZ wouldnt, shouldnt and couldnt do this....ONLY COLT! CZ had the 100 that most people shy away from the trigger...but its still not THAT BAD!

:neener: Shoot well

I own this gun!

You have just described my .40 cal. Walther P99. I also have a .40 cal CZ-75B so I am well qualified to make the comparison. The only discrepancy is that I feel the P99 grip is superior. My P99 is older and has all the German stampings so it qualifies as European unlike the new bastardized hybrid.

I wish CZ would chamber a CZ75 in 7.62X25!

They could. Anyone could chamber a barrel for it. It just wouldn't work.

I wish CZ/TanFoglio/Bul/Springfield/H&K/Kimber/DW/Colt...well, maybe not Colt...SOMEONE would make a modern design sized to handle the 7.62x25.

A CZ-97 in 10mm would be a lot easier for them to make, but its only slightly more likely to happen than a CZ-75-esque design in 7.62x25.

Those who choose the XD were right. I can't get over how nice the
gun is. I don't know if they are worth the same money as i'd pay for
a new Glock 19.

What is Dealer price on a XD9??

I was quoted $413 for the 4" barrel in green just yesterday. Haven't done any comparison shopping yet, so I don't know if that's a good, bad or average price.

First, lets see a 10mm based on a 97B frame, but with (preferably) a compact slide, then we can get around to the other projects!
