Fred Thompson...he's not in the list but I know he's going to run. I've never gone out of my way to campaign for a presidential candidate before...mainly because in my "voting life" there has never been one that was worth my vote. But I will donate large sums of money, as well as volunteer for whatever campaigning I can do, for Fred Thompson's campaign. The current "republican" (and I use that term VERY loosely...with the exception of maybe one) candidates are RINO's for sure. I will not vote for a single one of em.

I went with Ron Paul because I didn't see Fred Thompson up there, but I do like Paul a whole lot. What jokers voted for Hillary and Barack? This is a firearms forum, those two both want all firearms gone. Doesn't make a whole abundance of sense to me.

I know these gun boards are just a small fraction of the populous but damn it if nearly every single person on several boards I read wants Fred freaking Thompson to run....surely the "populous" would find him attractive politically as well...

Amazing

how much a good movie/television personna is worth in politics. As much as I think Fred is probably head and shoulders above most of that crowd, if I were able to vote in the upcoming election Ron Paul would be my choice - hands down.

If he doesn't make it, could we perhaps draft him for Prime Minister of Canada? :D

I will ONLY vote for Ron Paul. He stands for everything America was created to be and has failed to become. Ron's stance is based and supported by the constitution.

Tom Tancredo really stands out IMO. According to Wikipedia he has a higher conservative rating than Newt.

I like most of what Ron Paul says but I disagree on abortion and unfortunately he really self destructed at the debate the other night.

I wouldn't trust Wikipedia. BTW: Ron didn't self destruct at that debate. Watch this...it will set you free :)

Paul is a lost cause.. the only folks that will vote for him are the 118 that voted in this poll on a small gunboard on the Internet.

Forget him and support Fred T.

...and if Ron Paul isn't on the ticket I'll write him in. :neener:

(edit) seriously, I think Fred deserves a spot on the survey too. I'm curious to see how many here would vote for him.

And in response to CDIgnition:

Need I go on? I can throw in another few dozen more if you just want me to.

I don't get it. What does Fred have that Ron doesn't? (Besides being an actor).

He wants a way bigger government than Ron Paul, but he's got that small government Republican charm.

Plus he's an actor. All he has to do is get on TV and spout off some "Government is not the answer" slogans and the Republicans will be running to the polls faster than you can say "Ronald Reagan."
