I sometimes borrow my dad's Harley Davidson Fatboy but have never CCW while on it. I hope to get a bike sometime within the next year or so.

I've been riding for over30 years.
The last 20 have been on a 1972 sportster hardtail chopper.
I don't have my CCW yet( looking for a place to take the class)
But will carry once i get it.
I feel that on a bike you need to carry more so than in a car/truck because you can't lock the doors:D

Something I forgot to mention previously... Inside the waistband is great but unless you are wearing a vest, jacket, or have your shirt tucked into your pants the wind will expose the fact that you are carrying to the world. I found this out when my shirt worked free from the pants the first time I rode with my CCW. :uhoh: I pretty much always wear my vest now when I ride just to keep the shirt under control while riding in the wind.

I've seen a BUNCH of people around here in Arizona riding motorcycles and carrying openly. One guy I've seen a few times has this whole Red Baron thing going--handlebar moustache, goggles, black cape, sidecar, looks really cool. He was also packing what looked like a stainless wheelgun. ;-)

THR motorcyclists with CCW

I carry what I always carry - a H&K USP compact in 45 acp. I ride either a '04 BMW GS 1150 or a '00 HD Heritage. Mostly the BMW these days. I haven't had the HD out yet this year. I carry the handgun in a fanny pack in my tank bag.

I've never carried on a bike, but my Dad rode for the St. Paul PD for a while, and now carries a Glock .45 GAP, or S&W M65 3" when he rides his 95th Anniv. Road King. Course that Blue Knights decal on his windshield is pretty prominent, and he's a big guy, so not too many people mess with him, anyhow! :D

I'm not surprised we have so many bikers here, but I'm a little surprised that more of us don't carry while riding. I'm never going to try to shoot while riding, but what if you get run off the road?
If I'm immobilized and/or injured by hostile action, I particularly want to be able to defend myself.

Lol, my first THR/TFL mix up. There is this same thread going on over there, and when I came here and saw this thread I went to look at my post, well I didnt see it and was like "am I going nuts? I swear I thought I posted my bike..." But its 2 threads...So I am posting again. I ride a Suzuki SV650 and I dont currently carry but would like to.

No CCW yet but working on it. Just got back from Myrtle Beach Bike week though. Rode down with a few friends and had a blast. I ride a 1200 custom Sportster. Rode to Strugis last year on it and have made several trips to FL on it.

Ride a Honda Shadow 1100 and carry a MK9 in an
Alessi IWB. I gained a bunch of weight this winter and I may have to swith to another carry method. So far this combo has worked well however.

This is what I ride...

Still trying to figure out an ideal carry method for the riding position.

I use one of these for carrying stuff like the laptop, cell, etc...

i've got a 02 honda cbr 600 f4i that doesn't run right now (laid it down last week, and for some reason won't start. wasn't a bad lay down, i didn't get hurt).
i carry my usual all the time, my glock 23.

My last bike was a 1985 FLTC and our club "American Armed Forces Motorcycle Club" had a requirment to obtain a concealed carry permit.
I carried my Remmington Rand 1911.
Sold the bike in "96" with 68,000 miles on it. Haven't been able to ride due to illness since then.

1999 Victory V92C, and usually a USPc in .357 Sig. Sometimes PM9 or P3AT

I ride a bright yellow 1996 Honda Magna and carry my Makarov in a Falco shoulder rig under my riding jacket (summer and winter). (purchased from Makarov.com...great folks BTW)

Shameless plug.

My wife and I ride our 2000 Moto Guzzi Jackal whenever we get the chance. I always have my P-32 in my wallet holster in my back pocket, and often carry my Taurus PT-145 Millennium Pro cross draw in an IWB holster.

I have permits from Texas, Guam, and non-resident Florida. I have had a motorcycle license since 1971 and currently own four motorcycles (3 V65 Sabres and a V-Max). I have had Harleys, Yamahas, and Hondas over the years. I generally carry a Glock 27 in my tour vest (I always ride with my tour vest, jacket, or tour vest over jacket) and/or something larger in my tank bag. Depending on climate, bike, and conditions.

I have a 2002 Honda XR400 Dirt Bike that is my daily driver rain or shine when there is not ice on the road. If open carry did not cause a panic I would possibly mount a holster right behind the headlight. While I live in Minnesota I plan on carrying a HK P2000 SK when it comes out, in my left pocket.

I hope this isn't too far off topic, but I'm getting a 1985 Honda 500 shadow next week as my first bike. I think it would be really nice to ride to the range as I shoot about 50 miles from my home. Is there a good way to carry shooting gear, especially a rifle on a bike?

Le'see... been riding, off and on for not quite 30 years. Current bike: '89 Yamaha XV750 that looks pretty much like Snowdog's, and carry a Kahr K40 Covert in a PagerPal holster [which is utterly useless as far as access while on the bike, but that's my usual carry holster.]
