213 members and none of us have anything new to report!
I know some of the .36 remingtons had fluted cylinders ( certainly some of the DA ones) .....did any of the NMA revolvers have such and were they half flutes or full length?

Will you count me in with a 1858 that has a cartridge conversion cylinder? If you

One must first post a picture to be "let in" and then you might ask about whether a conversion only counts.
I had hopes one or more of the serious collector / historical types would chime in about the fluted cylinders.

kBob - I've been looking around a couple other forums for evidence of the fluted cylinders on original Remington NMA's with no luck. I suggest you post a message on the 1858 Remington Forum.

I'm already in the club but...
...I thought I would post my "new" Uberti 1858 manufactured in 1971. She shoots like a dream and is very clean. It has never known rust. This will probably be my new woods gun.

I respectfully withdraw from the 58 Remington club. I no longer own one and its was weighing heavily on my conscious to be a fraudulent member here.

Ya know not one person gave me a hard time for the two years I hung around here with only colts in my locker before I got a Pietta NMA asking dumb questions and such.

Besides I still ask dumb questions, even if I have picked up a different NMA and a "63"
Shoot no one even bothers me over on the ROA board and I STILL don't have one. (OK I very briefly had a blued one back before there was an internet)Well OK they did poke fun at me for letting a very low mileage Stainles in box with conversion cylinder loading stand and accessories slip past me for $500..... but I deserved that.......

I hear ya loud and clear.
As the keeper of the 1858 Remington Club thread, I have thoroughly and completely reviewed all editions of the constitution, bylaws and the relevant public laws and records of case law and can find no requirement that a member who no longer owns said Remington must resign; further, there is no known procedure for resigning, so I don't know how to do it even if I wanted to. In addition, it would throw off all my carefully crafted membership lists and numbering, so I determinately (how's that for a 25 cent word?) don't want to.
To all those who think they're the holy father and thus fit to cast aspersions (that one's 35 cents) on the subject, refer them to me and I'll deal with them. Tell them to come well armed (that is, with much more than just their wits).

I must have taken to many hits to the head in my younger days.
KBob: Good news! I can finally report that I've stepped away from the reprehensible Pyrodex and tried feeding both my 8" barreled NMA and my 5-1/2" barrelled NMA some of that new-fangled Triple 7; and I don't think Imagonna be looking back. They BOTH like 24 gr's of the sugary stuff; and it only takes one fully loaded cylinder to make 6 holes in a 5x7 "dirty bird" target at 25 yards.
Oh, and the Remington #10 caps of which I bought 1,000 from Bass Pro several months ago? PERFECT on both NMA's with their "factory OEM" nipples... place them on the nipples using an el-Cheapo inline capper, six thumb-pulls on the hammer spur, and six holes in the target. Every time. The hazmat fee was a little higher than I would have liked/expected, which led me to adding on the Triple Seven. Turned out to be a double winner.
Failures: Missed the SASS match in January due to a work weekend, and still haven't taken enough time on short trips to Phoenix or Tucson; so no Holy Black in the powder box.
Also haven't bought any new smoke-wagons, so I'm still a 100% Pietta Guy and Remington Guy.
But I keep looking at a '60 Army from Taylors... Haven't owned a Colt revolver since I hocked my Python in order to buy a wedding ring set for my girlfriend back in '83. Our 31st wedding anniversary is in a couple months, so I really think that's actually one for the "Win" category.
CAVEAT:(As long as I can keep holding her off on my 5-1/2 Remmie until the next sale at Cabelas. Not being able to do so in the past cost me ownership of a beautiful K-Frame Smith Model 13 with a "just think about it" action job.)

Hey fellers. I got my Uberti '58 a little bit before my '60 this year, and never really posted any pics of her. I've definitely ran more lead through this piece of iron than my 1860, but since the my '60 was goonerized, its kinda like my prized possession. Anyways, here she is in all her glory:
