Three Stabbings Reported Near White House
http://www.breitbart.com/news/2005/11/01/D8DJQ4000.html

Three people were stabbed Tuesday in Lafayette Park, across from the White House, the Secret Service said.

Agency spokesman Eric Zahren said one person has been detained. He said he had no immediate information on the condition of the three victims, or what led to the stabbings.

There also was no indication that the acts of violence were related directly to the White House. The park, which faces the North Portico of the Executive Mansion along Pennsylvania Avenue, historically has been a staging area for protests and demonstrations.

U.S. Park Police spokesman Sergeant Scott Fear told WUSA TV that the three victims were being treated at a local hospital for non-life- threatening injuries.

Zahren says the attack happened in the northeast section of the park. Fear said that section of the park has been closed, but the rest remained open.

Clear need for a ban!

We need to get handknives off our streets! Especially assault knives. You know, the ones with serrated edges most often found in kitchen drawers :what: :what: :what:

Good Googleymoogley, the next thing you know thugz will be toting meat cleavers, and everyone knows there's no legitimate need for those.

no no no.

Most pocket knives with a folding blade have "sporting purposes"...we should only ban those which have military usefulness, such as tanto knives and fixed blades.

It is clear no one needs a knife designed to facilitate easier penetration through thick materials. These military-style blades are only designed to kill.

You don't felet a fish with those.

So the following features of knives should be banned

1] blade longer than 3.5"
2] Any fixed blade knife who's blade extends into the handle
3] Any 2-edged knive...sportsmen only need 1 side to cut with.
4] Any blade pointed in a manner in which designed to penetrate protective clothing.
5] Any edged weapon with a handguard/fingerguard, as this facilitates a thrusting stabbing motion. No need to stab, only slice.
6] Any blade designed to be thrown - they serve no sporting or utility use.

O my another ban coming...

I just ordered 150 sets of Ginzus. Cornered the market...

Black tactical handles ... serrated edges.... you should see what they do to the average tomato..

Post ban I will sell them $80 per knife. Save your nickels.

Shop Mongos Murdering Machetes -- until the ATF and K gets me....

We need to ban all assault knives(any knife)the butcher can cut your meat, semi auto(folding knives) and fully automatic(switch blades knives ect.) End of story!

Don't ban the knives. The park is the problem - ban parks.
No...it's the grass in parks...ban park grass!:p

:what:

Funny thing is... THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA HAS THE TOUGHEST GUN CONTROL IN THE NATION...and it has done nothing to stop the crime! At all!
