I am in the market for a Tikka T3 Hunter in 6.5x55 with a walnut stock but I was hoping to find the stainless model listed in their site. Are these available in the USA? I have not seen any for sale on the net.

Looks like this:

If not I will get the blued/walnut version.

Thanks

I don't think so.. we can't find any of the walnut/stainless for the shop.
The only thing available is the T3 Laminated Stainless and these I'm told are closeouts, a discontinued model. :(

Only a few of the above Laminated ones left and in .300WSM and .300 Win.Mag.

Synthetic/Stainless available all day long.

That's too bad. I sure do like the utility of stainless but don't care for synthetic stocks all that much, especially that hollow knock sound when you bump the butt of the stock. That Stainless with walnut is nice looking though.

I do like the blued version so I suppose that is what I will buy then.

How do you like the supplied rings? Are they good quality? Are they the OptiLock version?

Also how well does the bluing on these rifles hold up in comparison to say a Marlin 336?

Thanks

Never heard of that company. Not too many options here in Alaska. I am hoping to look at one in person when I go to Anchorage next week. I called Sprotsmans and they don't carry the T3 in 6.5x55, but they do have the Tikka line.

Thanks
