I reload my own ammo, I shoot high power and low power rounds out of my .357 magnum revolvers. I load them all in .357 mag cases and label them as to power level. Lead bullets tend to be most accurate but are loaded to under 900 FPS. Its fun shooting small groups with low powered target loads and makes for great practice and improved technique.

I shoot fewer high powered jacketed loads, because the bullets are more expensive, and a few boomers per range session keeps me happy, and its more pleasant for the other folks I shoot with especailly indoors.

I carry a .357 Smith J-Frame 640. My first two rounds are .38+P and my last three as well as my speedstrip is all .357. Versatility, plus the option of not going deaf should I need to shoot it inside my truck or house is what made the decision for me.
