Purpose of .38 spcl only guns?

I have a .38 for a few reason, the first being sentimental. The first pistol I ever handled was my great grandfathers hierloom Model 10 that dates to pre WW2.

Second is that I prefer the .38 as a bug because of the accuracy and concealability of the 442 type wheelguns.

My first .38 was bought strictly with a budget in mind. Anyone who's been to the local sporting goods dealer or fun show knows how crazy the prices have gotten.

My 2nd & 3rd were S&W Model 10s. - If that doesn't mean anything to you, I respectfully & whole-heartedly recommend you spend a day at the range with a friend who has one. Pardon the pun, but they're a blast!

All of my sweetest shooting guns have been .38 Special revolvers. Super accurate and fun to shoot. What's not to like about the revered .38?

BTW, most accurate and delightful gun I ever owned was a Smith & Wesson semi-auto Model-52 in, yup, .38 Special Wadcutter.

i just bought the taurus 856 HY-LITE Magnesium. it says not to shoot +P ammo in it. how good is the federal hydra-shok JHP 110 grain?

angel1216 - it will do the job. It might not carry the same energy figures as some of the other stuff, but it will expand reliably.
