I took The Lady to Gunshow yesterday with the intent of finding a smaller pistol for her to start carrying. She has a S&W M&P but with 17 rounds it is too large and heavy for her to carry. Well a Ruger SR-22 caught her eye and all though the show she would handle one and comment how comfortable it is.

So this morning in cold windy rain we went back to the Gunshow and she is now the owner of a Ruger SR-22 in Cerakoat Elite Jungle Green. It Is a interesting miss match of green colors but a nice change from another black gun.

I heading downstairs later today to see what ammunition I have on hand.

If you want to carry .22 I siggest high grade Lapua ammo. Zero duds.

I need to keep my eyes off these ammo threads. The feeling of urgency occurs. :uhoh:

You don't have to :uhoh:. I know some day we may need to live on sqirrels, rabbits, pigeons, crows,......a 22 is good for securing those for the pot.

When the last panic first started I jumped at the first few opportunities that I had to buy 22 at semi-regular prices due to keeping very little on hand. I rarely shoot it, but would prefer to have some on hand in case I want to. I might have to pick up an extra brick or two in the next few weeks so that I can be sure I won't run out anytime soon. Unless my shooting patterns change a brick would last me a year or two.

You need to read the book "One Second After". Those squirrels, rabbits, pigeons and crows will be gone within a month.

I want to thank those of you who recommended Target Sports. I had never heard of them. When I viewed their site, I was amazed how good the prices are for certain kinds of ammo. thanks again!!

Problem with me is I reside in Peoples Republic of Mass. Target sports is the only dealer I’ve found who will ship here. Our AG is not even 2A neutral , let alone 2A friendly. So once again the legal good guys catch it in the neck for the non law abiding segment of the population.

Target Sports USA is a Godsend in the People’s Republik of Mass (PROM). Our freedom loving AG has sent letters to all online ammo dealers threatening prosecution for legal commerce to some of the most vetted people in the country, therefore, everyone I tried ordering from turned me down. Target Sports followed through and completed my order. Super Kudos to them.

Also, in Mass we are legally limited to 10,000 rounds each of 22 and centerfire ammo, and 10,000 of shells without a permit, so I try to stick to those limits for house insurance reasons.

Prior to the panic, I’d bought a 1022 TD, a 1022 stainless carbine (my first 1022’s) and a Mossberg 146BA. I’d been using my CCI sv and a bunch of different brands of HV in those rifles and became a little short on sv 22 ammo. I have 2 High Standards, a Victor and a Citation, where SV ammo is recommended to prevent frame cracks, thus, I was short on ammo for these pistols.

My post panic plan is to maintain at least 5,000 rounds of 22 SV. To that end I recently ordered a case of CCI sv from Target Sports for $249. What a welcome sight!

Just ordered some blazer that has been on sale, works good for my purposes, 3.4 cents a round had to pass up.

wow... some folks would have multiple heart attacks if they saw my basement. :D

I need to get 4 more boxes of CCI-SV to top off my two .50 cal ammo cans and I'll call it good. For now.

Why after these elections?

There are several candidates that are very anti-firearm that have been getting a lot of popularity and have a chance of winning seats in the Senate and the House which could mean a shift in power and allow a possibility of anti-firearm legislation to pass if they happen to win.

Don't forget to shoot some that stock. Practice makes perfect, visit a range near you, as you can never shoot too much.

Keep the faith.
Hillary was predicted to be a landslide as well.
You.... never.... know.
