Hi all.
i'm new here and looking for some advice in adjusting the timing in my 1860 army and 1851 navy. i've fired about 600 rounds through the 1860 and 400 thru the 1851. lockup and alignment is good on both, and both show great accuracy and decent consistency.
however on both pistols the cylinder stop is peening the lockup detents on the cylinder. usually on the right side when looking down on the pistol.(though the 1860 is doing it on the left after a trigger spring change) it seems that with enough time this may deform the cylinder detents enough to prevent good lockup. anyone know of a good online guide to timing adjustment? or is willing to walk me through it?
i love these pistols and am kinda obsessed with tuning then up so they are as reliable as can be.
also: can anyone tell me where to buy hardened internals for these pistols?
thanks
