People left their homes, went to work, put in a full day, did their shopping, their banking, their errands, paid their bills, filed their taxes, bought their beer, etc. What did they have in common? They were carrying a gun either concealed or openly. They didnt shoot anyone, rob anyone, threaten anyone or harm anyone in any shape, manner or form.

How can this possibly happen? Millions of law abiding citizens with guns? That killed noone? Somewhere in America today a law abiding citizen carrying a gun saved a life.

This is an every day occurence, This is fact. Not to be denied. Folks, please enlighten the people around you and do not let them be swayed by the crap spewed on ABC tonight.

If we are to win the war we must win the battles, the battles that are fought in our lives everyday.

Be vigilant and seek training. Be proactive not reactive, but when the situation calls for it, react with aggression and immediate violence to negate the threat.

The only way we can retain the country that we love is to stand together as one.

Remember, WE are the good guys!

So what, you think that telling the truth is the best way to go? :neener:

"You want the truth? You can't handle the truth!"

:D

So like I mentioned in that other thread, I didn't see the ABC "news" piece, but it must have been ridiculous.

The OP makes a very very good point. And I find it sad that we gun owners are hypocrites in this regard, as many of us often think the worst of an entire group of people, police officers for example, based off a handful of highly publicized news stories while over 99.99% of that group has done nothing wrong and will keep on doing nothing wrong.

IMO, ABC tried to make gunowners look like we have a taboo hobby. "Oooh those gun people are just an accident waiting to happen" kinda feeling.

I consider myself a "good guy" and don't give a rats @ss what ABC said.

I wonder if Sawyer was in a situation like a hold-up or carjacking if she would deny any citizen that tried to help that had a gun. :scrutiny:

That ABC special made my blood boil. On the other hand tho, ther was one girl durring the testing I was proud of. She was the only one to actually take cover draw and fire. Granted she was still exposed, but for not having any prior training I was impressed.

I got exactly what I expected from the mainstream media. Since Dan Rather did a piece of junk called "The Guns of Autumn" in 1975, the national media has never presented a fair and balanced protrayal of our sport.

I went to Lowe's twice today to get some flowers with my daughter. I carried both times. Nobody died as a result.

We had a whole town go to church and to school every morning and yet no one was killed. Virtually everyone and every home (That is not up for sale) is a armed house.

Imagine that.

Went out to lunch and out for a round of golf, nobody was injured or killed as a result of conceal carry.

This past week I bought 150 rounds of ammo. I still have all 150 of them. Next week I plan to buy more.

this is like skydiving, how may people think it is dangerous and/or deadly? i often hear people say they would never do that, too risky. yet hundreds of thousands do it daily and the only time it makes the news is if somone burns in or reserve fails to open or line twist ect. point i am atempting to make is the public in genral only hears the bad in life, i jumped several times, I NEVER MADE THE NEWS EVEN ONCE..... but if there was a problem it would be nation wide news... but yall will be glad to know when i was skydiving, NONE of my guns killed or wonded a single person, in fact they didnt even fire a single round.

by the way, sorry for the booring comment..

flrfh213, the main difference is that I'm sure that the media sees sky diving as fun, or thrill-seeking. You see, guns are just the pure essence of evil and crime in the world.

1. Why do we need guns when there are nice mallninjas here to protect us? :p

2. I support gun bans! You surrender yours first! ;)

3. A 911 call takes approximately 20 to 45 minutes to respond. What could possibly happen in 45 mins? Offer the bad guy some popcorn. :neener:

4. Why would I need a gun, I have a fingernail clipper, lighter, and a box cutter. :cuss:

OVER MY COLD, DEAD, HANDS...

I am with you partner, but the anti's don't give a S***. Just remember that, they don't care. They will try to take them away. Just remember, and vote accordingly in 2010.

I went to my wife's cousins for his daughters wedding. I carried, and did not shoot a single thing. His wife hates EBR's and handguns. I showed her some pics of mine, and every time I showed her one I would tell her. Oh, by the way, this one has never killed anyone either. I will have to work on her. She loves to hunt and her hubby is very pro gun. She just doesn't quite get it yet.

After all his crowing about the idea that we shouldn't worry about being targeted, Obamao needs enough of this stuff to qualify as sort-of a mandate. Then he can point his finger at all the anti-gun programming as representing a vast majority of the population calling for more draconic legislation, his assurances being completely forgotten by the low-information audience who will be most likely affected by these programs.

I agree.

I wonder why the NRA and other gun groups don't run commercials or adds related to lives saved with guns (other than in their magazine).
