Top 5 Gun Related Purchases on "The List"

Mine is easy.
1) for the slime that stole my granddaddy's 3 shot bolt action JC Higgins shotgun to give it back.
2) a NIB mid 1980's 4" 686
3) Early model Python with a 6" barrel
4) FA 454
5) Marlin 39AS

Can’t really “like” this. Hope you get it back from the slime and the slime gets an enhanced prison sentence for a firearm crime.

I’ll like No 2. It’s not a race, but you’ll probably win this race with me.

Thanks. Highly unlikely I will see it again. Robbery was a couple decades ago and supposedly a couple of the weapons stolen were located in California but then a report these were not the ones.

in no particular order,
Accuracy international AW, S&W DX, FN 57, M40 replica A1, SAA Colt

No “firearms” on my current list either. Black powder long guns have got my interest lately. Probably will only get one of these in the next year.

Looking at a 10 ga blunderbuss kit gun
Would love to find an 8 bore Fowler like my bud has
Some sort of canoe gun. Probably 12 gauge
62 cal Jaeger is on the list. Might need to kit that one too.

1)Glock 23(at ffl as I type)
2)Glock 29
3)Finish setting up range here at farm
4)Get more reloading done with supplies I bought
5)Finish setting up wifes 20 ga slug gun and shoot with her more often.

1. a second Shield Plus only with the red dot option this time.
2. a 7-shot 686/GP100 snub nose--must have adjustable sights---model depends on what I come across first.
3. Ruger/Marlin 336--preferably in stainless and if the price is not outrageous---I have yet to see ANY Ruger/Marlin out in the wild
4. Beretta 92---I've pined for one of these for a long time, just have never pulled the trigger.
5. Maybe a bolt action in 6.5 Creedmoor---probably a Browning.

Bonus 6. 629 with a 6in barrel

Curious, do you already have a 686? I probably should get some experience on the various S&W models of 357 before dropping change on it. I don’t have a revolver and I’ve rarely shot a revolver. Is there a reason to get a 28 vs a 686 if the intent at this time is one 357 and then one 22LR revolver? More collectible?

This is pretty heavy on my mind right now. We just got a bite on selling our house and we are back to looking for the next place hot and heavy.

Doesn’t seem firearm related, but all of the purchases for what will end up being my shop will be at least partially gun or gunsmithing related with exception of garage doors and openers. My main goal with the shop is reloading, gunsmithing, and tinkering with building things from 3D print and aluminum/brass/bronze casting.

Bronze cannon for absolute certain.

I have the following 19-4, 27-2 and 29-2. A bunch of single action, and a Dan Wesson.

I go back to the years of issued .357mags, first was a Smith 28, ho hum...fast forward, it's hard to beat the L-frame 686s, I have one that's about 20 years old (6"), a 5" and 4", the 4" has a Performance Center polish/hone job, it's fantastic. In my 7th decade, I only shoot double action .357mag factory/handload ammunition, I've become a fan of the new Pythons, 3" & 4" so far.

Find a competent revolver firearms trainer/instructor to learn how to grasp and shoot the magnum, then spend a lot of time training with the model of your choice...learn how to shoot the magnum double action and pistol training will be easier. The 686 is a solid platform to learn on, looking back, I'd take the L-frame over the 28 or GP100... :)

1) Primers
2) Powder

I am pretty well set for brass and bullets.

When the new gun legislation passed in Oregon last November I pretty much bought everything on my list.

I do have some Polymer80 frames I would like to finish. I am not sure if I want to go 9mm or .40.

3) Sig Rattler upper in 30 AAC Blackout to go on my Sig MCX spear.

4) A suppressor or two. I would definitely like a suppressor for the above mentioned 4.5" rattler upper.

5) I have some folding stocks I want to buy after my free form 1 brace tax stamps get to me.

We might come to the realization when we THINK that we are near the end of "The List", that the "List" is, in fact, infinite, and the end is unreachable.

You know those police bust pictures of gang members where they place out the huge firearm caches in neat rows for the press to take pictures of them. I have found myself looking at those pictures and saying to myself... "ahh, that isn't that many".
