What's on your bucket list for 2014?

I went big on gun stuff the last two years. This years gonna have to be much smaller. I've got far too many things at home that need attention.

On this years list:

-Finally get the reloading gear thats been collecting dust for several years set up and working.

-Finish setting up the weapons I already have. Scope for the .22lr American rimfire, scope mount for my AR, sights for the Glock, light mount for my FN SLP.

-Get out and start shooting more.

I may also adjust my collection a bit too. At this point point though, somethings gotta go before anything new comes in. I've got a few on the sale block and one or two I'd like to get in replacement. More of an adjustment than any pressing need.

My budget is super limited. Hopefully this year I'll be able to

1. Buy a remington 700 sps

2. Find a place to shoot it that doesn't involve joining a expensive gun range that's limited to 100 yards

Queen of Thunder,

Alas but your quest for a set of 41's will not be complete until you add a S&W 586 converted to 41 Special.

The 586 conversion will allow for a 6 round cylinder with the advantage of K-Frame grip.

Just remember it's the journey not the destination.

Ah Grasshopper by adopting the wildcat 41 Special (which is not a magnum) you stand to be the Queen to grant knighthood and make it a commercial cartridge.

Just image your name on the wall of fame alongside Samual Colt, John Browning, Elmer Keith, Bill Jordan, Jeff Cooper and Bill Ruger. Why I am just getting tears in my eyes thinking the path you can blaze...

God save the Queen!

BSA1: True about any major election, but the wild card could always consist of just one of the huge numbers of untreated, or 'treated' mentally ill who could go ballistic. And at Columbine years ago, they weren't even considered mentally ill. These types can be even scarier.

One can buy 'affordable ammo', and switch to a gun which uses it (9mm, 5.45x39, 7.62x39 etc).

HP22 Phoenix Arms .22 pocket auto. Testfire it well, and cache it. 10 ga pump gun for a special project. I've got the other 3 that I want. However, in 2015, I'll have a wife who will need a dozen, so as to make her completely familiar with all the different types, and so we'll have guns to let students try before they buy.

41 and 44 specials are just .45 ACP with a rim, in a gun that's a lot bigger and heavier than it needs to be.

I,O.,

I agree but this close to the elections it seems unlikely as gun control is a hot button issue.

On the other hand the American Ceasar has declared his intentions to circumvent Congress to advance his agenda with Executive Actions so 2014 could be a bumpy ride with 22 ammo remaining in high demand and a second ammo panic later this year.

I did add bullet casting to my list which means buying a few molds this year.

I'm waiting on my LGS to sell my Ruger Charger with instructions that they order a Ruger Blackhawk in .44 Special immediately after the sale. Then I'm going to start getting back into reloading.

:)

Adding a front sight with a dovetail to my Rossi M720.

Building my retirement home with a Terrace Level Shop and Reloading facility with a Door that is like a Safe door, but made for a room. This will enable me to get out of my off premise reloading facility and back to home. The home will be re-enforced all thru it.

1. More mags for each firearm
2. Mosin 91/30 Hex
3. Chinese SKS
4. A piston AR15 or AR pistol
5. another 12ga shotgun
6. LCP for backup ccw

and more importantly, start reloading!

A good leather IWB holster for my 938. A single item list this year. Although if I come across some .22 LR ammo, it's going on the list too.
