Randall,
No this isn't my first. I currently own and carry a P3AT which is DAO and I dont mind the trigger too much (Not enough reach for me really) on it as I grew up shooting my Dad's Colt Trooper .357 which I shot both DA and SA. Also I did own a XD40 and for whatever reason I was not crazy about the trigger on it, I really dont know why but even though the pistol was flawless and accurate I just can't really say I liked it for my taste. But either way I dont mind a long or heavy double action and I dont mind a SA so long as it breaks clean and crisp.
Far as being like Hi Power, I have always heard it was greatly design after the Hi Power with the same linkless cam locking system and short recoil operation. Yes the slide rides inside the frame like a SIG 210 but other than that there's not much else common there... It isn't a clone of any just took ideas from others.
Thanks for the info.
