I have an lc9 which I want to trade for either a s&w 910 or a g21 which an acquaintance has.. I like the size of the lc9 but hate that long trigger. I have a g30sf and a g23 which I really enjoy shooting...

I am leaning toward the g21 but the 910 is really winking at me ;) I am a little concerned about the alloy frame.

What do you guys think ?

If the LC9 was your only nine and you've got a good stash of 9mm ammo, you need something to shoot it. Get the 910. I've heard they were pretty good and AFAIK, they're not making them any more.

Otherwise, get the G21. You seem to like Glocks and the 21 is one of their best efforts. The G21 is about the only Glock I'd consider (beyond my current G19) so I understand why you lean that way.

But new G21s will be available for the foreseeable future; not so the 910. Another reason to get the 910 if you know it's a good one.

It sound like you want the 910.

910's are great guns for what they try to be.

The value ratio of an LC9 vs a 910 is insubstantial.

Resist the urge to "upgrade" the 910 unless its already really beat-up.
There is a small niche group of collectors who will truly appreciate a "correct" 910.
The LC9, not so much.
...and definitely not a hoopty-fied 910.

If you're not concerned about the alloy slide and barrel on the LC9, I don't understand the concern over the use of alloy on the 910. Difference between the 910 and G21 is apples to oranges and to many, two completely different applications. It boils down to whether you want a 9mm or a .45. The G21 may be worth more, but the 910 seems to be more in demand.

Thanks for the advice. Did some more reading on the 910 vs the 915 and their 59 models.

I'll keep you posted.
