I was wondering if anyone had objective data about trigger pulls between a few different guns (add more if you like):

SIG 226/239
DAK: ??
DA/SA: ??

Beretta 92fs
DA/SA: ??
DAO: ??

HK P2000
DA/SA: ??
LEM: ??

I know Glocks are about 5.5 lbs
1911's are about 3.5 lbs

Sigs, HKs and Glocks may have very consistent trigger pulls, but 1911s are all over the place. Not surprising since anyone can make a 1911. The last 1911 I shot was a new, stock gun from one of the largest US manufacturers and the trigger pull was so heavy it was ridiculous. The owner has changed springs and polished parts and is happy with it, but the stock pull was way over 3.5 pounds.

I wouldn't guess MOST 1911s are less than 4-4.5 lbs stock, although you can modify them however you want. I have been told by a guy behind a gun counter that a trigger on a carry gun of less than 3.5 lbs was as good as illegal, and guaranteed to get you sued and prosecuted. (I don't believe most of what I hear from guys behind gun counters.)

My stock Kimber Custom II measured at 4 lbs. My stock (well broken in) Glock 22 measured at 4.5 lbs. But they feel worlds apart, because to me at least, how cleanly a trigger breaks is more important than how heavy it is. A lot of shooters prefer NY trigger springs in their Glocks, because they are much cleaner than stock triggers, despite being much heavier.

Anyone got figures for the Beretta or Sigs? I am just curious of the DAO have lighter pulls than the DA shot of a DA/SA.
