Love my 4506, so that’s my vote. The 45ACP is just meant for a pistol.
If CCW, I agree, 639 or similarView attachment 991947

625-5 made in '98 or the 4506-1 made in '94?
Both are Stainless.
Both are chambered in.45 ACP.
Both have 5" Barrels.
Both are Awesome Guns from Big Blue.

If outdoors, no-brainer; 625. But 45 AR, loaded with bullet 255 grains using 2400 powder, 1029 fps, see http://smith-wessonforum.com/138309974-post3.html . If I remembered correctly there is excellent article about reloading 45AR in Handloader #254, August 2008.Those are too heavy, I'll stick with stainless steel fantastic 639.
The G30 is a wonderful package and a true sleeper in the Glock lineup.I choose the 625 for a wheel gun and a Glock 30 in an auto.
Sorry ...... I like reliable autos.

They are nice and very easy to carry but I wish so bad they had stuck with a full 19 length grip, even keeping the fat frame/mag instead of the annoying hybrid subcompact/compact frame. I'd still have one of it was that size.
Heck then they could have made one the size of the actual Glock 30 and called it a subcompact.
