Two rifle set for North America hunting, what cartridges would you pick.

You can cover everything in North America with two cartridges. You can cover it with some versatility and, dare I say, panache, with 4.

But if we’re sticking to the spirit of the thread, Africa-style destination hunting, then two is probably sufficient. Nobody’s flying first class with custom made, matching rifles to pop squirrels. Probably.

I've seen some nice old custom mausers with under barrel 22lr or 22 kurts. I believe a lot of African hunts smaller game and birds are or used to be popular, believed the guns for it were maybe loaned.

As you can see from my picture I have some experience with the M-60 and also Ma deuce. I could no longer carry an M-2. And it's hard to sneak through the woods with a tank or even a gun truck. The fun would make up for it. I do know a place where you can rent a tank. I can't afford it. A couple years ago I had a 3/4 ton Chevy with a huge bumper and grill guard that I used grouse hunting. I didn't get any shots driving through the wood playing "Ina-Gadda-Da -Vida" at high volume but I enjoyed it. Have a video someplace but don't know how to upload it.

Everyone knows that grouse like Jefferson Airplane better. ;)
Why didn't I think of That? Maybe because we had a gun truck named Ina-Gadda-Da-Vida. It was a little heady being on top of an armored 5 Ton with your hands on the butterfly trigger of a .50 cal. I had a record player with 3 albums in my hooch back at base, Jefferson Airplane was one.
