Has Anyone done the USC to UMP (SBR) conversion? How much did it cost? Who did the conversion? Are you happy with the results? What would you do differently Any before and after pictures?
HDPS does them. They are not cheap. You are looking at almost $4K total when all is said and done for the cost of purchasing the USC, doing the UMP conversion, and SBRing it plus $200 NFA tax.
Thanks, I did a Micro Galil build, and it was just over 3K$ when it was all said and done. This is why im getting estimates before I go down that road.
i bought one of the HDPS ones a LONG time ago back when they were well under $2k.
it was fantastic. everyone who ever shot it loved it. grease gun mags are still better than the actual HK mags. i had it short barreled (SBR) and threaded for a suppressor
after they got up to $4k and the new wore off, i figured i just had to sell it. kinda miss it though. great little gun
if you do a search, you can prob find my old posts about it
I've done the conversion minus the SBR to this point. I wrote a detailed post that broke down what i did and how much it cost. Use the search to find it.
I also did a conversion minus the SBR. I'm into it sub $2,000. After the short barrel and tax stamp i'll still be into it well south of $4,000. Changing the barrel out is as easy as driving out a pin and back in again. HDPS does fine work by the way.
