Varmint/ predator black rifle builds

As promised. PSA lower and upper bought on separate occasions. Upper came with an 18-inch 6.5 Grendel barrel, that I swapped out for a 24-inch EABCO "Accuracy Barrel" in 6mm ARC. Replaced the stock with a Magpul PRS-Lite. Trigger is a Lantac E-CT1. Vortex Viper HST 6-24x50 VMR-1 (MOA) in a Warne 20 MOA mount.

While I did not build my 6 ARC AR for varmint/predator hunting, it will fill that role easily if I want. I used an Odin Works 18" barrel and bolt. The scope is an Arken SH4 6-24 MIL with 20 MOA mount and the handguard is a Guntec ultra light weight 15" handguard. The stock is a MagPul PRS Lite. The scope in the photo is a Primary Arms scope that I have since put on my 17m2 Savage Mk II. I also have a 223/5.56 rifle setup very similarly with a PSA 18" 223 Wylde barrel.

Nice ! How do you like Odin works? I was "this" close to buying an 8in 300blk barrel from them for a build but decided I wanted to save my money lol. I have enough guns as is.

I haven't really pushed the Odin Works barrel past 200 yards yet but it shoots Hornady 108Gr ammo extremely well out to that distance. Their 6 AR barrels have the +2 rifle gas length and come with an adjustable gas block. I have no complaints so far with the barrel.

Nice! A free adjustable gas block is a nice bonus! And how do you like +2 rifle gas?? How does that work out?

The +2 gas system works well for the 6 ARC in the 18" barrel length. I didn't even adjust the AGB front the factory setting and all the cases eject into a nice pile at 3 o'clock. I am also using a VG6 Gamma 65 Gen 2 muzzle brake.

Here is a 5 shot group with the Hornady 108Gr ammo at 100 yards from when I sighted in the Arken scope The final 5 shot group is circled in yellow.



And here is a 6 shot group with Hornady 105Gr ammo. I did not make any scope adjustments after dialing in for the 108Gr ammo.
