Kensler, listed in fair condition at Riverside Regional Medical
Center, is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
and possession of crack cocaine.

Kathleen Carey spoke to Kensler's mother. She didn't go on camera, but says she goes on the record of believing that her son is innocent. She
says her son shot as he was being robbed.

so kenslers mother, the mother of the perp with holes in his body that was carrying a gun when he shouldnt have because he is a felon and also had crack on him says she believes her gun toting crack posessing felon of a son is innocent and was protecting himself.

unbelievable! in fact after rereading it i'm in favor of having her uterus removed so she cant have any more kids EVER.

no bad parents create criminals, so you remove their uterus "just in case" they feel like breeding in the future. call it preemptive crime prevention.

Isn't Virginia law such that you can't have a gun in places where alcohol is served?

That is true, but the shooting took place in the parking lot, so it was legal for him to carry concealed since he wasn't actually inside the club.

Was this person a patron of the night club?

Perhaps the guy was waiting for his girlfriend to get off work or perhaps he was a Taxi driver, there could be several reasons for being in the parking lot without being a patron, we won't know until all the details are released.

Does anyone have any statistics on how often things like this happen? I'd love to show them to some of my friends who can't believe citizens with carry licenses can stop crime.
