my wallet has always gone into my left wallet. my pistol has always been on my right hip. for mugging purposes, i keep any cash in my front left pocket (i can cancel credit cards). i don't like to fidget once i realize i am being pulle over. once an officer apporaches my window and asks for my "documents", i verbally announce "my wallet is in my rear left pocket. i am reaching for my wallet".
some officers have looked at me crazy. others seemed not to care. i have heard enough stories of cops making mistakes (they ARE human) and shooting guys who have reached for their wallets.
getting shot would REALLY mess up my plans for the rest of the week!
