There is no right place. You're deluding yourself to think so. You're deluding yourself to think that you can indefinitely leave windows open, cars unlocked, etc. and you'll never have to pay for it. I thought I lived in the "right area" until three greasy A-holes broke into my house and took everything they could carry out the window. I thought I lived in the right area until somebody stole the gas can out of my truck bed and all my tools out of my toolbox the one time I forgot to lock it. Being prepared and being aware is not being paranoid. Keep being ignorant, keep assuming you live "in the right area", keep depending on the goodwill of your fellow man. It WILL eventually catch up with you. No, being paranoid and constantly worrying ain't "living". It's a good thing I don't do those things.
