Just at my local Walmart and purchased some Blazer Brass ammo. It was marked $11.97 box of 50 for 45ACP and $9.97 for 40S&W. I'm thinking that it was a deal so I bought all the 45s they had (3 boxes) and a few boxes of 40. :neener:

Cheers
Joe

just for the issue of money they are pretty good. A buddy of mine got 5 boxes of 40s&w and we haven't had any problems so far. We put the rounds through a pre owned HK USP and have no problems so far.

Going by the prices I have seen around here lately, I think you got a very good deal. WWB is in the neighborhood of $15-16 a box right now....

I dunno, other places may be cheaper, but I would have bought all I could afford at those prices.

If it is at Wal-Mart I do not consider it a deal. I would rather go to my local independently owned gunshop & pay a little more.

The Quality of the ammo has been good for my on the Blazer Brass .45 ACP I've been shooting for a couple of years. Sounds like Walmart must have standardized prices on the .45 stuff. That's the same price I pay for mine.

IMHO, the prices you paid are really pretty decent, about as low as I can find.
Here in Oklahoma, Walmart has the cheapest .45 ammo while a local Academy Sports is about $2/box cheaper on 9MM ammo ($7/box of Blazer at Academy and closer to $9/box at Walmart).

Just have to keep your eyes open to other options that are available in your area and pick and choose. I've found that a little bit of looking around and you end up spending less on box quantities than you would going through the internet and pay shipping for whole-case quantities....every once in a while I've found deals online that were worth a look.

I think that's about the same price they have it down here. I always try to buy as much as ammo as I can afford at the time, because prices are only going to keep rising and saves me trips to Walmart. Once I get my reloading setup and enough brass on hand I won't be seeing Walmart for a while.

Same at the one by me. Always between $ 10.97 and $13.97 for the .45 ACP. And I usually buy all they have. Never had an issue with the Blazer brass ammo.

I gotta say worst dealer around on .357 sig. Yes they carry it at $19.99-24.99 a box, but I can get from a Wichita dealer for $12.99 a box. Who would you go to?

Buying online in bulk, even with shipping factored in, is usually a better deal for me. Not a bad deal for walking in off the street, though.

Personally I shoot blazer brass b/c they are the same people who make Gold Dots and as a matter of fact that is a good deal i would stay away from the winchester white box stuff. In my opinion that stuff shoots good but is nasty to clean up.

both blazer and gold dots are cci products sorta like agulia and remington. Remington owns agulia. Cci/speer are pretty much the same company

Remington owns agulia.

Uh, no. :uhoh:

Remington equipped and trained the staff at the Industrias Tecnos S.A. de C.V. plant in Cuernavaca, Mexico. In exchange, Aguila made "Mohawk" brand ammunition for Remington. When the production of Mohawk ammunition ended, so did their relationship.

CCI and Speer are both ATK (Alliant Techsystems Inc) companies. Thus the Blazer and Gold Dot are both ATK products, not CCI.

I have used Blazer brass @11.97 in my xd45 for close to 1000 rounds without any problems.
The cases are stamed "CCI"

About the only ammo I buy from them now is the 22's. Just bought a box(550) of the Federal. I think it was around $11.00
