pick them both up and see what you like. they feel different.
Out of the box the marlin has an edge in accuracy, and thats it, well maybe the trigger but I have never felt one that is any better than a 10/22.
As for the magazine issue, tube vs. detachable mag, it's a matter of personal preference, I prefer detachable magazines as it makes for easier reloading because I can carry spare mags with me, but the tube will hold more, if you don't mind the magazine sticking out of the bottom then you have the option of going high capacity mag with the 10/22, up to 80 rounds, and maybe more. There are multiple speed loaders for the 10/22 and I know of one for the 60.
The Ruger also has the capability to be modified in any way you want, from full on tacticool sniper, M1 Garand clone, a very nice bench target rifle, to a beautiful showpiece, whatever you wan't. The 60 there is not much to change, I believe you can get a stock for it.
They will both outlast most people, it would take multiple lifetimes to wear out either with general use. And it does not really matter as you can keep replacing parts on either.
