"What? A gun ad featuring CCW badge"???

While I don't completely buy the logic, I've heard that some people will carry a CCW badge (concealed, of course) and only show it if they draw their weapon. The reasoning is that, when the LEO's arrive, they will see the badge & not shoot you immediately & give you a chance to talk.

Maybe not a completely justified reason, but what was that saying about being judged by twelve rather than carried by six...

Para should be ashamed of itself for such a dumb ad. My opinion of that company just went down 110%. I wouldn't buy anything from them now!
It really shows that they know nothing of the "Gun Culture" and are certainly not intune with what people in that culture want.

Don't be to hard on the manufacturer for what the marketing people did, they are entirely separate divisions of the company.
Actually it's more likely that the marketing people are not even part of Para.

As far as having my gun drawn and having LEO's thinking Im a BG....my mouth saying "Im a CCW Permit Holder....IE "Good Guy!"

I have a carry permit. I don't have a CCW Badge. It's going to stay that way.

If I do my job, and keep the weapon "concealed" why would I need one? In my area, printing or having the wind blow open your jacket, is not a crime. Pulling the gun when one should not, is. Now if I, by accident, let my gun show then I'm an idiot. It's my job not to let that happen. But if it does happen, and some blue hair passes gas, so what? If I need to explain myself I have a valid permt. Sure it can be a bit of a hassle, more the reason not to let it happen.

I'm not going to fall prey to the idea that a CCW Badge can make up for my lack of awareness. I believe I understand why some folks wear the badge, no matter what reason is given. They have my prayers.
