What are members carrying these days. Have you increased your firepower due to recent events? Extra mags, perhaps a spare or backup pistol? Is it time to put away the bugs and carry heavy if possible?

Have you increased your firepower due to recent events?

Yep. Deployment.

Beretta 92 with four magazines (three 17 rounders, one 15 round mag).

Colt M-4 with 8 PMAGS @ 30 rounds each.

Fixed blade, folding blade, Gerber tool.

Truck with more ammo, guns, and trigger-pullers in it.

Depends on which gun I carry. Usually 9mm, .38spl or .380auto

Don't care for .45 great round but FOR ME it requires a heavier gun than I like to carry all day. I like my carry guns to be really lightweight. As in under a
pound unloaded. Plus even with a full size pistol I find I can place 2 or 3 shot accurately with these caliber in the time it takes me to do 2 from a .45 because of recoil.

.40 is okay recoil seems less than .45 BUT it seems to create more muzzle flip than actual straightback recoil. Maybe it's my imagination? Whatever.

I like to have reload as well depending on what I am doing that day.

Full size 1911 on weekends S&W 640 .357 workdays.
Same as always. When I retire I will retire the .357.

1911 Government, with two eight round spare mags, 95% of the time.
If I have to be discreet I'll carry my Ruger SP101 .357 mag in my pocket with two speed strips reloads.

Around my neck of the woods I use a S&W M&P 360 in 357 mag. Use Speer 136 gr Gold Dot Hollow Points, 38+P. I can carry loose rounds in a parts bag should I feel the need for more but 98.9% not. But with the situations going on now sometimes I would switch to my Springfield XDm 9mm. With a 19 round clip plus one in the chamber makes 20 rounds. If I ever needed to go heavy I have (4) more 19 round mags in their belt holsters, with a loaded mag in the gun & one for the chamber leaves me with 97 rounds should it ever get that bad. Lord I hate to think this way, but "CYA" should that time ever arise! It's my only 9mm but it is an awful lot of fun to shoot. Doesn't seem to run out of ammo when your plinking and about a cheap of a centerfire to shoot. Practice! Absolute Key to successful defense.

I carry 38 Special, 9MM, 357 Mag, 40 S&W, or 45 ACP when off duty. While on the job I am issued a Beretta 92FS (M9) with FMJ ammo. The gun is fine the ammo leaves alot to be desired.

Haven't increased any. .45 ACP 1911, with one extra magazine. .380 Kel-tec when I absolutely can't conceal the 1911. Sometimes I leave the .380 in my pants when I switch to the 1911, so it becomes a BUG.
