What do have waiting for you in the reloading room?

I got some Vihtavuori N110 powder and 240 and 300 xtp projectiles for my 44 mag. Normally load Alliant 2400. Apparently N110 is closer to H110 for power. Certainly the load data looks to be, 1500fps+ with 240 grains in a revolver is top tier. And 1300fps+ with the 300xtp! Will work some loads up to see if the data matches reality.

I really like the, "What have you done in the reloading room today" thread but it seems like a lot of it is us all catching up on the stuff we should never have got behind on. I've got brass stowed and tucked away in places I can't even reach, don't remember until something goes wrong, and that's just what in the house. I don't even know what's squirreled away in the shed and pole barns anymore.

So here's the question: What have y'all got waiting for your attention in the reloading room - or where you keep your reloading stuff, maybe - that you've been putting off, forgot about, never got that round tuit for, and just plain slipped through the cracks?

For me, it's processing and sorting brass. Gotta get a round tuit but they're just real elusive pieces of equipment.
I need to catch up on my skeet loads - especially 12ga and 28ga. My Annie loads are not quite as depleted, but they are getting there. Trap league starts next month, so those loads will be third on my priority list.

On the centerfire side, I have a bunch of 30-30 brass that needs attention. I have been developing a gallery/plinking load with 165gr RNFP and various pistol powders. With a few good loads now identified, that brass needs to be prepped for some groundhog remediation at the lodge.

After a range visit to test some recent reloads, I am tweaking some loads and rethinking some thoughts….in no special order:

- Tried taking my powder load for RMR 124’s from 4.0 to 3.8 grains N320 but shots kinda felt ‘hollow’ (dumb way to say that but best I can think of). Gonna go back to 4.0 FTW.

- Shot some more RMR 124 Nukes over a pretty warm charge of 3N37…I am REALLY enjoying this load. Very accurate out of my simple Glock blaster.

- Shot some XTreme 124 HP’s I’d loaded a while back over N320. They were plenty accurate. If I didn’t buy RMR I’d probably be buying XTreme bullets…I do like them a lot. But sticking with RMR for now.

So…probably have another 1200 bullets to load up in the next couple weeks.

I have 500 empty Starline 454 Casull cases waiting to be loaded with Acme 255 grain RNFP and Blue Dot powder capped with Magtech SR primers. I will probably run out of Blue Dot but I have Long Shot to fill in with I always keep a pound of Long Shot and W231/HP38 on hand as they are my fill in powders to use when my normal ones aren’t available.

Finished loading my 9mm boxes (200). Because of you fine gentlemen, I added some Rooster Brite to my media to make my 308 cases nice and shiny. Also, I checked the powder weight registered by my Chargemaster with my beam scale. Same weight. Guess I'm still happy. I did, however, notice that the zero would drift. The pan weighs 143.3 grns. It will drift down to 143.2-143.1 grns. I was using 5.3 grns of WSF, and the weight would change correspondingly. When I re-zeroed, it was back to the initial weight.

A neck turning tool by Forster that I need to figure out, several 30 cal moulds that need to get filled repeatedly for my 30-30 cast bullet project, and a bag of #8 1/2 shot that decided to rupture and distribute itself across the floor. Anybody have a lead magnet?

Forster's little tool makes good smooth cuts once you get it set. I wonder if a good shop vac might pick up shot. Would be worth a try.

To keep the thread on track, my future projects include inventorying my Prairie Dog ammo to see if I need to load any before May, getting the oldest Grandson over here to load this Falls Deer Hunting ammo and getting a buddy over here to supervise him loading some 243 ammo, also for this Falls Deer Season.

I just got my new Lyman trickler in the mail and I’m waiting on my 5-0-5 and rcbs universal hand primer to show up. I’m almost ready to do my first loads at home.
You're hooked..................... 😁
and..........................you're screwed.................................😎
Welcome to the most enjoyable rabbit hole you may find........................................!!!!

I have three boxes of the same .38Spl load - except for the primer - and three revolvers to try them in packed and ready for the indoor range. Tomorrow is testing then I get to work on the brass. Assuming nothing about anything.

The revolvers are a 1980’s Rossi M851 3”, a 1958 Colt Official Police 4”, and a 1966 Colt Official Police 4”. The older Colt has a new spring. The newer Colt needs a new spring. The Rossi has always been very reliable but it doesn’t seem to like very hard primers.

I have a mess waiting… View attachment 1199506
I have made some progress

My press keeps calling me.
Iraqvetran8888 bought a ultrasonic long enough to hold a barreled action because he works a lot on milsurps, trying to get all the cosmoline and other garbage out.... looks like that would have been a good use case. I probably would have dropped the chamber section in a gallon of b12 chemtool for a bit.
