Several plastic tubs of brass waiting in line to be tumbled.
I hear you… however, the furnace guy I know; well, we met in a ccw class and have bumped into each other at the range…
I’ve got several batches of brass waiting on me too decide what bullet/powder combo.
Cruise around a few counties? Sounds like great fun. This weekend is no on call and nothing else planned so I’m going to cruise around a few counties looking for components. I don’t need anything - but what does need have to do with it

Boring!
My favorite load for the 223R is with the 52gr SMK using TAC. It's been consistent sub moa in 4 guns so far. The AR that has the Kreiger Ultra Match barrel shoots 1/2 moa. The wind does like to move the light bullet around though at 200+ yrds. All kinds of stuff to play with. Got a new rifle (Tikka T3X super varmint) and wanting to develop all kinds of loads for it, from 52-77gr. So been busy buying different bullets and researching potential loads. Looking forward to finding the best loads for it. I may already be close on 52gr SMK's. Moved the scopes zero point between shooting the 2 groups. 5 shot groups, 100yds, fairly windy.

You jynxed me. My left shoulder to wrist. All the joints are swollen and I can’t use the arm. But I did get some driving done and some shooting in. First stop was a pawn shop where my wife and I know the owner real well. She found some jewelry she liked so we spent most of the day at one place. Which is fine. He has a big Laz-Boy on the floor for sale.Cruise around a few counties? Sounds like great fun.
We actually do that as often as we can--go west to Blue Ridge & Shenandoah Valley (lots of gun stores) or east to Chesapeake Bay (lots of crabs, oysters, & rockfish).
Either way is great time.
Enjoy.
Im sticking around here nursing my gout and re-preparing for Monday range visit. I'm going this time, regardless of pain, to continue my case longevity non-test. Maybe I'll shoot sitting down for one of few times ever. (No draw and shoot I guess
Sounds like you having the same luck (bad) as I did with H335. Luckily I only bought 1 lb and not 8#. TAC has become my favorite powder for the 52gr SMK, 26.1-26.2 gr. CFE 223 has worked too but not near as good as TAC.Been trying ladders with other .224 bullets with H335.
Thanks. I have plenty of CFE223, which both of my .223's like. I'm just trying to find a load with H335 so that my 8# jug doesn't spend it's life gather dust on the back of the shelf.Have IMR4895 or IMR4064? Those ought to work pretty good.
This is for JEBruns.
I have CFE223 and Tac. I'm getting .2xx" groups with 26.0 grains of CFE223 and the 52gr SMK's at 100yds. I had only tried the Tac with heavier bullets. Might have to give it a try with the 52's.Sounds like you having the same luck (bad) as I did with H335. Luckily I only bought 1 lb and not 8#.
