What gun gave you that special feeling?

My Thompson...

I have absolutley no use for it, yet still have it. Its my least fired, most often fondled gun.

I'd love to get my hands on a 1928...

Mine would have to be my Kimber Ultra CDP series 1. picked it up to examine and it felt like an extension of my hand. very few guns including other ultra CDPs have done that.

I'd have to say for a handgun it was my Sig-229. I saw it at a local store, had 4 mags, came in 40 S&W and had a 357 Sig barrel with it. I fondled it several times. The guy knew I was hitched so when I walked away he kept it on the counter knowing I'd be back. He was right. I've sinced ordered a Bar-Sto 9mm barrel for it and the thing works awesome and fits my hand great no matter what caliber I shoot. Nothing like a 3 in 1 gun.

Now for rifles I would say that I love all the I have, but the one that gives me the warm and fuzzy something fierce is when i take my Serbu 50 BFG out to play. There's nothing better then completely destroying an intended target when that round hits it. Not to mention the way heads turn when that thing roars to life. :D

Wow, looks like a lot of 1911's as expected.

I've shot a few of them and even went to the trouble of finding that elusive 9mm Springfield, but none of them really blew my skirt up. I guess I could say that I must have been "imprinted" with the CZ-75B, so the P01 was a natural next step.

I'm coming into the market for a used one if anyone has one they're looking to get rid of.

Well the CZ75B was my first gun so THAT piece will alwyas have a very special feeling to it but post first (drum roll)-Colt series 80 Gov't Model 1911!

For me, the biggest smile that a gun ever put on my face was the first time that first Garand went 'ping'. Firing it eight times didn't really make me feel like I was connected with a piece of history, but that 'ping' sure did. It was literally an emotional experience.

The biggest control-freaky grin was the first 10 or 15 rounds through a fully auto Thompson. :D

No new gun purchase gun as ever really effected me though some were better than others.

a mac 10

I went to the bulletfest in ohio a few years ago and this guy with mickey mouse ears on let me shoot his mac 10 .45 for $5 a mag. i was immediatly ruined. Changed my whole outlook. Bought one, and suppressed it. now I am ruined for life, lol. I have the 9mm conversion for it, but that screaming 45 does it for me. Bullet hose, heh, heh.:D

First time I held my springfield 1911, it was love at first feel. It got better after I went to the range. I had the same feeling the first time I held a browning hp, but I havent made it around to purchasing on yet.

It was a 20 guage double barrel exposed hammer coach gun made in the 50's or 60's. Beautiful gun that was very easy/comfortable to shoot and I was heartbroken when it was stolen 10 years ago... Still haven't found the right gun for the right money to replace that shotgun.

My first gun a ever bought, the day I turned eighteen, a Mossberg 500 20" barrel, 8-shot model. I would never sell that gun. I've had it so long that shooting it is so easy almost like a controlled reflex. I have perfect muscle memory with this gun. I love it so. After awhile guns can become like old friends, almost. Weird.

Most of my Colts feel that way.

Esp. my Commander and 1917 New Service Army.

When I saw my Savage 116 on sale, my money leapt from my pocket. That's one accurate rifle.

I looked a long time for that elusive Magnum Carry, that was destiny, or luck.

And the BAR... whoa. That's all I have to say.

Once again the 1911, while I like all guns the 1911 feels right, looks good,
after all it is a "work of art" in firearms world.

My first gun, a .44 Redhawk. First gun gitters and all that, the feeling of a whole new world/hobby that I was starting to get into. Plus....it was a Forty Four!! Heck, ya!!

My first AR, Bushy Varminter. I'd been wanting an AR for years, and the AR was a self-given gift. I made it a goal that when I paid off my credit card bills, I would allow myself to go all out and get the AR of my dreams, so double bonus there. Too bad I have since run the cards back up... :(

My SP101 - first gun purchased purely for a true self-defense role. Nice warm fuzzy when I ordered it's holster too, knowing that it wasn't just for IDPA, but eventual Real Life Carry. (And now MO seems to have gotten its CCW, so I can start carrying it soon!

....it was love at first sight, a Browning Renaissance three gun set, the most beautiful fully engraved handguns I had ever seen...my knees got weak, mouth was dry as I carressed each of the masterpieces.....unfortunately the $3000 they were asking might as well have been $3,000,000......I left broken hearted.

...Twenty five years later.......I walked into a gun shop, knees got weak and had a bad case of sweaty palms as I spied a Renaissance High Power in the display case....money be damned!, I had to have it.....I feel much better now.

My steyr M9, is still, my favorite pistola.

Gives me the vapors every time i take it to the range. It does, however, get rather boring sometimes...all of the bullets through the same hole and all...no diversity:rolleyes:

However, I just got my 357 barrel today for my Sig p239...I shot it today, and gotta admit, was a little fluttery about it. Something about that cool fireball:D

SIG P225

I cut my teeth on long guns. Winchester lever action 22, Ithica 20 guage, and a Marlin 30-30 lever action. However, i did not get that lovin feeling till I began to seek out a good carry pistol. A friend who I had worn out with constant questioning told me to go to a couple of gun shops and "hold them all the right one will find you" and it did!!! When I picked up the SIG P225 I felt the love. 2 weeks later it was mine.
