The path less chosen...
I have absolutely NO-ZERO-ZILCH interest in Kahrs and Para Ordnance.Ive never shot either and really cant give an honest answer as to why they just dont interest me.

Almost any non 1911 type gun (excluding revovlers)

Glocks I just don't like.
Sigs I admire, but don't fit my shooting style or training.
Kahrs have never held an appeal.
S&W of any type have never done much for me.
Rugers I don't care for the way they fit my hand.

1911's and Colt SA/clones, are about it for me.

On a side note, several mention DAO 1911's. I bought one of the first Para Ordnance LDA's, put about 3000 rounds through it before I decided DAO was just not for me. Stuck with Para Ordnance but not their LDA's. SOme of their newer products are renewing my interest.

Smoke

HK their blocky look and the grip does not fit my hand. Glocks finger grooves do not fit either but a file will take care of that. Colt DA revolvers do not flip my trigger either. CZ's Beavertail hits my hand weird, and Beretta's are ugly to me.

give me a DA S&W, 1911A1, 1st Gen Glock, Colt or Ruger SA and maybe a SIG 220st

Glocks, Ruger auto's, and just about anything DAO. Esp. DAO 1911's. That's just inherently wrong. Its R-O-N-G-E, wrong. So wrong, you have to spell it wrong.

Glocks
I own one, and used to own another one. I think they are solid, dependable guns that have a lot to offer in a personal defense/service handgun. That being said, I can't get into them at all.
As I told someone who recently asked me for advice on his first handgun, my advice would be to get a Glock. He asked why I don't use a Glock. I told him that it is probably because the handgun I primarily use now is the same one that I started with and have been shooting for over 20 years now, I see no good reason to change and seem to have great difficulty trying.
For all those same reasons I can't get into double action handguns. Again, I have at least one double action and one double action only, but I can't get used to the changing trigger pull. My second shot is almost always a miss. I am sure that with practice, I could overcome this. But why ?

I don't fancy plastic at all so I guess that pretty much limits my selection.

Well, I would hope not those nasty UPS, brown like a big truck... :D Give me a USP anyday!

I really can't get into Ruger autos... I don't like the mag release, can't get used to it when I handle it.

Any plastic or alloy framed handgun just doesn't do it for me. I prefer a steel framed handgun. Sure a steel framed firearm might be heavy, but heavy handles recoil better for me.

A close second characteristic of a firearm that doesn't do much for me is any handgun that does not have replaceable grips. I like the idea that I can put on a set of custom grips if I want. I'm not crazing about 'grip sleeves' either.

I don't have much interest in most semi-autos because I don't like to chase brass for reloading.

Right now that limits myself in what I like to shoot, but I know that my interests will change over time and I'll get a bottom feeder made out of an aluminum alloy at some point.

However, if any of the above works for you, that's great. I'm happy for you. I'm certainly not going to bash you for an interest that I don't have.

It's easier to tell you what I'm into than what I'm not into!

Although I've had the opportunity to shoot a number of handguns from a number of manufacturers, and there's a lot that I liked, when it comes down to spending my hard earned $, I've only purchased and carry Colt 1911's in 45acp, and S&W and Ruger revolvers in 38/357mag.

I've really been trying to get myself to buy something in 9mm for over a year but no luck yet - honest---let alone anything with a plastic frame.

Nothing against either-many fine firearms out there with polymer frames, and all the major calibers will do the job if you do yours, I guess what I buy shows my personal preferences.

Good Shooting,

I'VE NEVER SHOT ANY BERRETTA PISTOL THAT I'VE LIKED -A SHAME I KNOW (YOU'D THINK @ THAT PRICE -THEY'D BE PERFECT)

ALSO THE ATTEMPTS TO MAKE A PLASTIC 1911 (BUL, KIMBER, WILSON) -THAT'S JUST DOWNRIGHT CRIMINAL!!

ANYONE REMEBER THOSE "VECTOR" 9MM POC THEY LOOKED LIKE SOME SORT OF "BATMAN CARRY GUN" (THE "BAT-PISTOL") THOSE THINGS WERE HIDIOUS!!

ALL THE CHEEPIES (JENNINGS, HI-POINT, LORCIN) -I'VE NEVER UNDERSTOOD THE APPEAL OF THOSE EITHER

Handguns not into?

I'd have to agree with most of the posts above plus add T/C Contenders. They just don't do anything for me!!! All that money and its still a single shot! I won't even handle a LLamma Handgun after having a bad experiance with one. AMT's are on my personal "bad" list also.

Glocks (hate the feel, the trigger, and the image)

Pretty much all polymer wonder-nines, along with all the boxy high-cap overstuffed nonsense.

Basically anything designed after the second world war :D

just can't get into glocks or dao guns. give me a 1911 or hi power any day. shot my buddies glock and still no warm and fuzzy feeling.

I am a fan of just about all guns, but...

Strangely, I just can't get into Hi-Powers. But, I dig 1911s.

Can't get into Ruger autos, any cowboy-ish revolver, or pretty much any revolver with a long barrel (meaning anything not a snubby).

Not into the target guns with all the fancy grips and counter weights, etc., or fancy race guns for competition.

Just about anything else will float my boat. I like wide diversity in my collection, and I have nothing against the guns listed above, they just don't interest me as much as others.
