What handguns can you just not get into?

Guns that I just can't get into that I've actually shot...

Ruger P-series & HK USP

and guns I have not shot and have no interest in...

Kahrs & SA XDs.

I know there are more that I could add to the list but I'm not quite awake enough at the moment to think of them.

Any single action revolver, Hi-Points, Ruger semi-autos, Bersa, Glocks...anything that smacks of cheap or has crappy ergonomics.

Kahr's- overpriced junk with crappy triggers.
Glocks-overpriced plastic junk with the worst trigger ever put on a gun.
Bersa's-cheap junk.
Taurus- just plain junk.:barf:

HK USP: My fingers are just too short to shoot it comfortably.

Any cowboy SA type revolver: Just doesn't float my boat.

Compact Glocks
Browning Hi Powers
Ruger DA Pistols
Kahrs
HKs

Not saying that I dislike them because I think they aren't good, I don't know why, I fumbled them a millions times, but couldn't get myself to buy one.

And of course there's a whole list of others that I wouldn't buy because I firmly believe they are junk ( Lorcin, Jennings, Raven, etc.....)

No "Polymer"
No Aluminum
No DAO
No "Super Mags" ie the "BFG"
Nothing designed to do something a rifle can do better (ie Contender)

Hmmm let's see.......oh yeah
Anything with the words "TACTICAL" or "EXTREME" in it :banghead: :cuss: :fire: :barf:

I have to admit that I really like pistols and revolvers in general. The only types that I cannot get into and cannot picture ever owning are:

single shot hand rifles (T/C Contenders, Rem. XPs etc.)
Anything with a scope or electronic sight

3rd gen smith autos in 9mm, or .40
Anything in .40 caliber generally.
Pistols that I can't fit my fat fingers in the ejection port (CZ75, sometimes my P7 pisses me off in that regard.)
.38 caliber revolvers, I know that they are sweet, but I just can't bring myself to shoot a revolver, without it at least being a magnum or a big bore.)
Revolvers with 7 or 8 inch barrels, I own a couple and they just never get shot.
Taurus products. 'Nuff said.
Pistols that don't work out of the box, I won't mention any brands, because I'd be typing all night.
1911s with all the extended crap on them, and uber long beavertails, etc.
Compact guns that require a fierce grip on them to hit the x ring. (Some glocks, etc.)
Guns that aren't accurate. Don't waste my time.
That shouldn't really leave me with much, except that it does.
And that's a good thing.

Glocks - don't like the feel
Taurus - one too many bad experiences
XD's - don't like the feel
Kel_tecs - don't like the feel

HS/XD pistols.

Everything in their specs ought to interest me, as the wife is sending signals she might allow me an HS2000 in either 9mm or .40S&W
I've even handled the pistols...
but I honestly don't know why I'm not more interested.

Hand me a 1911-type pistol and no matter how crappy the finish and the fit, the buzz of temptation is there.

GLOCKS.

I'm selling my G17 after only havig it a few months. I'm sure they are great pistols so i don't want to detract from them but they're just not for me.

My Ruger mkII 678 target is not for me either. It's too barrel heavy.

Lots of angst with the Kahrs... I kind of find that surprising. A 15 oz gun that can be pocket carried or carried in a holster that holds 7-8 rounds of the very fullest power 9mm ammo that can be purchased and fired reliably and accurately with good sights and a consistant trigger pull around 5 lbs.

What's not to like?

For guns that don't do it for me... I've owned two Sigs that I just couldn't get into. The bore is just too high above my hand or something. Both were accurate and supremely reliable though.

The larger S&W pistols. My soon to be ex-step-father-in-law has a 659 that just feels like the biggest, blockiest gun I've ever held.

I'm basically a 1911/CZ/BHP/full size revolver guy that likes higher powered smaller guns for CCW. I don't have a problem with Glocks but I know a couple guys that have over half of all Glock models in their safes and all were bought brand new... I can honestly say I don't get that. I mean, I can see having a G20, and G23 or G19 and a G30 or G36, but I just can't imagine having a desire to have three sizes of Glocks in 9mm, 40S&W, 357 SIG, 10mm and 45ACP.

Glocks, owned THREE of them, first was the G19, then G21(customized by Aro-Tek), then the G26. Thought the G26 was pretty good though, after 1000's of rounds just couldn't get used to the trigger. If I had to buy another it would be the G26 again, for sheer portability and firepower. Mine was pretty accurate too. Mike

Here goes:
-Kahrs
-high dollar 1911's (have to admit I would buy a milsurp 1911-esp. one from the Army-or a "milspec" Springfield)
-Sigs I've owned and traded a 220 and have never missed it. It was a great gun, but I never got attached to it.
-Taurus I hate having a gun I'm ashamed to admit I own.
-S&W autos, N-frames, and any S&W made less than about ten years ago. I'm not hostile to S&W, they just don't interest me and are severely overpriced IMO.
-Ruger autos- I don't like the mag release, and they're fugly.
-Monster caliber pistols- just not practical.
-cheap stuff

Ive tried shooting various model Glocks, and those pistols just didn't seem to "fit" my hands well.

Nothing against the offerings of Gaston, just couldn't comfortably shoot them.

Never was good with the really small "rodent weapons", either.
