What is acceptable accuracy out of a 3.2 inch 9mm barrel?

The Glock 26's will shoot a lot like the 17's, and at pretty much all the same distances, so the shorter barrels really arent a hindrance. The recoil impulse is a tad different, but thats about it.

These were doubles and triples starting from around ten yards or so, some a little closer as I was moving, and most were not shot "static". I believe I can live with that. :)

The snubbies do OK in DA from about the same distances too. :)

So, the question, is that an unreasonable expectation at 15 yards with a 3.2 inch barrel? I walked back from the range with a guy who thought my expectations were unrealistic. . If so, what do you consider a reasonable accuracy expectation at 15 yards?
What do I consider - for anyone or for me?
Fist sized @ 15 yards is ok.

I demand far better from myself because I can.

“It was also relatively windy today which probably wasnt helping.”

You may have just answered your own question here. As you probably already know, wind is hell on offhand pistol groups, not because it blows bullets around, but rather blows you and the gun off center!

Personally I’ve not seen much of a difference in 3” vs 4.5” 9mm accuracy at 15y. I’ve not used the “hand sized” group idea but well placed headshots should be doable at 15 paces.

The differences in grip shapes between these different guns may be resulting in you not having as good of a grip on the HK as you think you might, for 1 thing. At 15 yards (defensive range, for sure) I would be more concerned with a 2-3 round string from the draw hitting the A zone of a IPSC target. I look for 2 rounds like this in 1.5 seconds from the draw, for example.
