What is the most recent knife you bought?

I didn't buy it but it was gifted to me by a good friend. My buck 112 was my everyday carry knife for so long and now I've got a dilemma because it's lot harder to decide which I'm gonna carry around

Griptilian has a lot of fans, and was on my bucket list until BM dropped the Doug Ritter knife and thus the Knife Rights aspect. Then Hogue picked up the RSK Mk2 and I went for it. Very satisfied, but have a question. The original was claimed to be a Mel Pardue design, and the RSK box says it's an Elishewitz design. Whodunnit?

I can't get further than 10 minutes into a David C. Andersen video before nodding off. He could get all the information out there well before :10, but he needs to explain how the handle fits his slightly larger than normal hands and show the "more premium" materials. I do note that his voice seems to be froggy in the most recent (Artisan/CJRB) video, so at least the factory rep gets to do a bit more talking. :D

It is a great cheese knife. I use it constantly. The cheeses I eat are upscale and not third world products! Not to divert from our usual panoply of sharp metal things. Swiss Army cheese knives are out there also.

A plastic cheese knife brings to mind clandestine cheese eating CIA station chiefs embedded in third world countries:scrutiny:

I’m at the point where anything plastic annoys me, the whole world seems inundated with it.

This is my cheese knife, stainless etched blade is non stick through cheese, and wood handle, being offset, protects your knuckles.

This particular one was made in Germany by Wusthof long ago, but the model is still in production.

This is what the Fed-Ex guy dropped off earlier today. Quite the mashup of traditional lines with modern materials. Excellent craftsmanship and some unusual design features. First two bladed folder I've seen with nail nicks on both sides of both blades. Blade stop pins aren't what I'm used to seeing on a traditional folder either. It seems to be a very knice knife.

Nice! About time some thought for lefties, accommodation at little cost to them.

My grand daughter got me an opinal #5 for Christmas. I have never liked anything French including fries but I gotta admit this is one nice pocketknife. Holds an edge a lot longer than it has a right to. Sharpens up quickly to hair shaving edge. Might have to try a larger size for hunting.
