What is the most recent knife you bought?

Knifejoy exclusive Spyderco Delica CPM 20CV with an aftermarket MXG blue deep carry clip. For the additional $25 you get a bump from VG10 to 20CV, which seems quite reasonable. Once Flytanium gets more carbon fiber scales I will either swap out for those or a set of Bocote wood scales I commissioned.

The Delica is surprisingly fidget friendly given it’s a back lock. Thumb flick and Spydie flick (middle finger flick) work great.

I’ve always liked back lock knives.

I have too, from a safety and ergonomics standpoint. I carry, deploy, and sometimes cut left handed, and close my blades left handed. Consequently I appreciate a fully ambidextrous knife. I also enjoy being able to use different blade deployment methods. The Delica scratches all those itches.

Also, very thin blade stock so this thing is a slicing machine!

While I don't hate FRN, particularly in a hard use knife, at the end of the day it’s still plastic. I’m glad there are aftermarket scales so I can class this knife up a bit.

Another Kershaw Zing.
I've misplaced the other one.
Now the original will show up! I have one of the early ones with the 3D blade design. That's fun until you try to keep it clean! Between that and the various composite blades, Kershaw was doing some fun stuff back about 10 years ago. I have a composite junkyard dog too.

Lukas Stefanowski (Steevee Custom Knives) from Poland. Custom order of his "Sidekick" model. Hand-rubbed M390 at RC61, just over 8" in length, 4" blade with 3.75" of cutting edge. Forest green over tan Japanese cord wrap, really stellar sheath. Great maker, does some fabulous work for very cheap... this was about $320 shipped, and they're about $260-270 in acid-etched O1 tool steel or in N690 stainless instead of M390. Lots of talented eastern European knifemakers putting out amazing work for the price. Down side of course is you gotta wait for the slow boat to get your knife to you, shipping on this took just shy of three weeks after the build was done.

Beautiful sheath, too!

Good luck with it!

Purchased this Victorinox Equestrian as a gift for my granddaughter.

In addition to the hoof pick, it has a 3 1/2” locking blade, and the usual Swiss Army small blades.

I added their mini screwdriver, works well on eyeglasses and screws into the corkscrew when not in use.

Picked it up online from a shop in Switzerland, including postage, it was still $20 less than any place here.

Christmas shopping and somebody asked for a couple different super cheap "tactical" knives from amazon. I couldn't bring myself to buy such cheap liner locks so after a bit of debate I got them a Ganzo G720 with the G lock. I had no experience with the brand but had read some positive stuff here and I took a gamble and ordered one.

I am shocked. The knife is very heavy and lacks a bit of refinement in things like skeletonized liners and what not, but the fit and finish are on par with much higher priced knives. My sample of one, has no blade play side to side or up and down, opens smoothly, and was sharp out of the box. I really can't believe how good the quality is for the price. I really hate buying from China, but I can see how folks can't resist with knives like this.

How do you like that 0990? I can’t get on board with liner locks, and I find myself curious about the ergos. But ZT makes good stuff IMO.
Just wondering

It was my first zt, and I treasure this blade! I got away from heavy duty folders to light weight and the 0990 is exceptional. It's small but cuts big. Action is dialed in and the blade profile just has a darn useful shape, plenty of tip for piercing and a slight belly. The design works, it looks different and it's fun to carry and use.

I actually don't trust frame locks, I like liner better. Zt doesn't have many liner locks that are not assisted, so I loved the specs to start. Lockup had been solid.

Here is a video I did when I got it

Christy knife
grandfather's stuff.

The Screwpop is different because it uses a high magnetic density magnet to ensure the blade stays snugly in place and a rotating lock to drop into the utility blade notch. These magnets weren't in common use until at least the latter quarter of the 1900s.

BTW, Christy is still in business. https://www.christycompany.net/?fbclid=IwAR3tRZE4xoY7t-1EyQBtAVXYAbal6dM4EsWU2FLJKr-wdG3843_1L3M0tac They are interesting knives. The blade slides forward through a slot in the front of the frame and the blade tang is attached to the mechanism keeping it in the handle. My wife's collection includes a couple.
