What is the most recent knife you bought?

I use it a lot around the house for those quick small jobs where my beefy full handed EDC is overkill; and many times smaller is just better.

But because it is so small I had to learn how to open it without getting cut. I may be an idiot, but not a total idiot. Let me explain.

I actually struggle myself with small flipper knives, and I have no nerve damage. I've cut myself also on a few occasions.

Now this Bestech Goblin works fine for me without issue.

Amazing what half an inch can do. (No dirty comments guys)

The Goblin is actually about as small as I'm willing to go. I'll pick one up eventually.

I found the Bestech Nuke to be an even more practical option in that style knife, but it's a little bigger, and much wider in the pocket.

Haha, that one is on my list also.
I love it. I have a second in a different color combo on layaway. Yeah.............. I'm that guy.

I may pack that one away as a gift to myself when I retire.

Or not.........

I'm a little dissapointed in the action on mine. Light switching it fails for ma a lot if I don't goive it a wrist flick. Push button is fine though, and spyder flick is good. Overall ergos and functionallity are great though.

Picked up this Krudo DAO LTE last week.

For some reason this brute just called out to me.

For such a heavy blade, it is easy to open any way you like; Flipper, Thumb, Spidey flick (which I am just now learning), front flipper, and marble style thumb flick.

Once you unlock it, that beefy thick blade will close on its own.

I’m sold on these Krudos and plan to get more.

This literally just arrived, not a high end EDC knife but it works for me. The Smith & Wesson ExtremeOps knife.
The knife is a little tight getting open but I'm sure I can fix that. It's also a little smaller and lighter than my other cheapie EDC knife.

Mike G, that is a sweet knife, but if you value authenticity you may want to check out Marttiini, Jarvenpaa, Kellam, Ahti Verrapuukko and Roselli, among other traditional makers. They make many varieties that would nicely complement your Finn rifles.

Just picked up these three as a package deal.

The small one is a Spyderco ClipiTool, slipjoint main blade and a scissor.

The black handled knife is a S&W Viper, a push release on the side of the handle allows the blade to swing out and lock in place.

The other knife is a S&W Swing Blade Sporter. The inside handle rotates out, then swivels around the blade and takes a position around the outside handle, effectively locking the blade in position as solid as a fixed blade knife. Comes with a S&W embossed leather pocket case.

All a little unusual and all out of production. The swing blade is from the ‘80’s. Aside from a scratch or two on the Spyderco, all are in just about new condition.

Have you tried making any adjustments at the pivot or disassembling? I had one with similar issues, took it apart, and one of the ball bearing washers was in backwards. I cleaned it up in there, gave it a little oil, and installed it correctly and it made a difference. Still not as well tuned as others I have but better than before.

I adjusted the pivot and oiled it, but I haven’t taken it apart. Maybe I’ll do so and check that out.

Boy every time I look a that thing it looks like a Bestech Kasta had a baby with some Andre De Villiers unrealized design.

This isn't a high speed low drag knife but it is one of my favorites.

It's a Bucklite 442. It's the equivalent of a Buck 112 Ranger.

I bought one at the PX in the 90s. Oddly enough I distinctly remember buying the knife. But I couldn't tell you when to save my life.

I carried it in the ammo pouch on my LBE for years then it disappeared.

I honestly missed that knife for years but they're discontinued. I found one last week on EBAY LNIB for 40 bucks.

Lowe's Crescent CPK350A Harpoon D2 (claimed) bearing knife Made In Vietnam for $6.87. Has been cutting a lot of fruit, steaks, veggies. Using the typical Pull-Through kitchen cross-ceramics sharpeners and has been very good. Beats M-Tech all day long.

When you first look at this thing it seems really busy and overly complex. Then you realize it’s a very simple design with fancy milling.

I think this thing is sweet. 3.25 inches of m390. All titanium everything. Feels extremely comfortable in my hand. Hair popping sharp out of the box. No blade play, centered, and the action is great. Ummm…… might be my new favorite.

Bestech Vigil. Kombou design. I ordered one the day WMK had them listed.

I know minimalist designs are many people’s preference and pretty popular in general, but if you can make something practical and pretty, with finishing that will wear in a way that shows character developed from use, I just think it’s a thing of beauty.
