Interesting that after 4 pages of responses no one mentioned the S&W bodyguard. Is it that bad a firearm

> The FN/Browning 1910.

You lucky sod... for a gun so many people claim to dislike, the prices are right up up there.

Nice to see one of those old warriors still doing their job after a century and some.

Well since no one else has posted one.

1934 Beretta. In pieces to show how simple it is.

For those interested the "Smith and Wesson Forums...Ampersand" has a 500 round shooting session report on the .380 Bodyguard.

There are only two I want to own let alone shoot, Walther PPK or the CZ 83. The Beretta 1934 or 84 are both great guns as well. My brother has one my Dad brought back from WWII and an 84 he carries.
I may change my mind yet and get an 84, but to me the PPK is the .380 to own.

Early on in this thread I had only one .380...SIG P230. I had been looking for a blued Walther PPK/S. Found one a few months ago, procrastinated, and then it was gone.

I found this stainless Interarms one last week and got it. Box, target, manual, and three factory magazines.

Thus far I've shot CCI Blazer FMJ (aluminum case), Speer Lawman FMJ, and both Speer Gold Dot and Double Tap JHP's in it. Seems to function fine with all those.

The Walther seems to smack my hand harder than the bigger but lighter SIG P230. I need to shoot them together to decide that for sure. The SIG has more User Friendly Grips than the Walther.

Mr. Dig...if you like the Walther

You'd probably like the Bersa Thunder 380 (clone)

Bersa used to have issues (so I have read) but the new stuff is pretty cool. I own it, like it and shoot quite well with it. And except for the grip sides, its all steel.

Nothing fancy-schmancy. Kel-Tec P3AT. It's worked every time, with all kinds of ammo, for the past five years and it sure is easy to conceal.

The Bersa Thunder is not all steel, the frame is an alloy, but IMO it is a better shooter than then the Walther it copies to some degree.

cheese bigot,

Would you believe that 35 years ago that was my carry gun? I shot every thing in it from FMJ and Lead to the old Speer 88 grain JHP barn burners and it loved them all. Only thing it to offence at was the S&W Blue Box 90 grain semi jacketed round nosed lead, but since every .380 we tried them in did not like them I was not too upset. Carry was in a Bianchi shoulder holster or big coat pocket in winter or a modified eyeglasses case inside the pants in warmer weather. Not knowing any better in those dinosaur ridden days I carried with the hammer down on a loaded chamber and safety off, thumb cocking on presentation.......yet I still have most body parts!

Despite the bayonet lug style barrel mounting it regularly out shot a bud's PPk and another bud's Astra Constable and F.I. Pony from roll over prone or a rest.

Much fun was had "ringing" a 55 gallon drum at 100 yards of hand around some folks that had said belly guns are inaccurate at across the room distance. Ah, those were the days, clear eye sight, less weight, and more hair.......

I saw an advertisement on THR for the M&P BODYGUARD in .380. Any of y'all have any experience or "cracker barrel" opinions on that pistol?
