What is your favorite .380ACP?

My bad....not all steel but all meta alloy which amounts to pretty much the same as what I meant...sturdy damn thing I am up over 700 rounds on mine and it just gets better...

My Wife and I put our brand new G42 thru 300 hundred rounds just a few hours ago....she is absolutely thrilled. I'm impressed but I knew I would be. Tremendous accuracy in her hands and very fast follow ups/triple taps due to surprisingly low recoil.

Flawless functionality with Winchester flat nose...dismal functionality with a box of re manufactured ammunition we bought at the range because they are having a problem getting enough factory .380. I experienced my first squib ever.

Off topic...The Glock 42, love it or hate it, is an absolutely must shoot gun if you are a .380 aficionado.

VooDoo

I shot the G42 at my range a few weeks ago and really liked it, but also had many feed problems.

I wanted a 380 around the size of the G42, but because of the feed problems I experienced decided to get a Bersa Thunder CC which is just about the same size and shot the H__ out of it over the last two weeks without a single failure with a number of different brands and styles of ammo, so happy with my choice.

When I want carry really out of sight I carry my LCP. Some of the 380s on this thread are big enough that I'd just carry my Colt Officers Enhanced or Para LDA Carry 45 instead of one of them. Each to their own.

I like the TCP and if you look through threads that pertain to pocket 380 pistols I think you will have a hard time finding a disatisfied TCP owner.

Who likes the Taurus TCP ? I saw one on special (new) for $300.00 .

Good gun? Good price?

They're probably the lightest , simplest and easy to carry whatever the dress is. My fav 380 is the SigP238, but the TCP gets a lot of carry time when in getting down & dirty. The reasons I chose it over other low end 380's
S&W bodyguard too much to get snagged on
The Keltec 3apt bad grip, felt too cheap like a toy(in all fairness they all do)
Ruger LCP just didn't feel right( extended mag may have helped)
Only issue I had with TCP was cheap Tulamo crap.
P238 is still best choice, just don't want to scratch it up. It's too pretty ;)
Cooler weather it's a Sig 1911 C3

Yep and that's what separates hardcore .380acp fans from casual users, if I were blessed with a windfall I would build a collection of .380's not because they suit a purpose but because they appeal to me on a different level.

Taurus TCP .380. Reliable, super easy to conceal, accurate for such a small pistol. Plus you cannot beat the price.

I am actually shocked this has only ben mentioned once but the best deep carry pistol of any kind would be the Kel Tec P3AT. Weighs 11 ounces fully load and can be hidden on a completely naked person.

Seriously though, deep carry/conceal-ability would be the only reason I'd keep a 380.

Since I only have one, and I just bought it yesterday, this is it. It's a great shooter, and 100 rounds through it resulted in a perfect run. Very accurate. Point shoots everything into a 12" circle at ten yards. Light enough to throw in a pocket.

ppks

Well I know that since S&W started making the PPKS, the gun has had alot of problems, however, I own 2 INTERARMS walther ppks's which are wonderful. They have never jammed, love my reload ammo, are very accurate, have one of the best safetys ive used, my wife loves to carry hers, and when its 110f out and im wearing as little as possible, it slides into my shorts pocket with ease.

My favorite gun to carry is my 45, my favorite 380 acp is the interarm ppks.

Rockbase.

How about the dry firing the PPK, and breaking the firing pin issue ? Have they resolved that yet ?

With a wisely chosen pocket holster I choose the Sig 238. Excellent night sights and such a soft and reliable shooter (some early copies had reliability issues).

For pride of ownership and range fun it is a West German stainless Sig 230 with walnut grips. So beautifully finished and the German proof markings add a bit of interest to the package.
