nice what barrel and how you like that jp gas block
Howdy Troy: The JP has been fantastic. Still no problems with setting or mounting screws backing out or tension loss. No build up issues. Very happy with it. IT's taken quiet a few knocks and stood strong. (Old man stumbles in the wood). The Faxon is the 18" heavy contour match series. I use it for GP recreational shooting and hunting. Great weight and service so far. IT is NOT a BR capable barrel but a very very good hunting one.nice what barrel and how you like that jp gas block
Fantastic! My 30-06 rolling block that I made myself out of a block of 4140. I made everything but the screws, springs and the barrel. Took me seven years, an hour here and an hour there, after work. Professionally heat treated to RC 40. Proofed with a German 7.62X63 proof round that developed around 80,000 PSI. Rust blued it myself.
Gorgeous....... I'm afraid to even look up what these go for. Congrats!Mine now is the .500 S&W carbine by Big Horn Armor replacing my Henry 45/70 as my second favorite.

Just finished - well, almost finished - this .54 caliber flintlock kit today, and I figure it's going to be my favorite rifle for the foreseeable future.
Wow thats awesome work, thanks for sharing. That's a beautiful rifle. Did you make the sleeve and bag too?View attachment 1164468
