In your personal experience, which one of your pistol have been most faithful? The one that always been on your hip when you carry or the one that has shot through thousands of round in range and never fail you.

My most faithful pistol in my Glock 22. It's not the most expensive nor most fancy one in my collection but it's had gone with me to range almost every time and over 4~5k rounds of any cheap range ammo or HP defense ammo and never fail me once.

I'll make it 3/3 so far. My Glock 27 goes with me everywhere and has never choked on any kind of ammunition.

When I'm going to the range for fun I bring wheelguns or .22s. When I'm betting on it to save my skin, I bring the Austrian.

I guess I've been very, very lucky. I have a P3AT, Wolverine, Makarov, Star MOD 30MI, PA-63, and two CZ 52s that all work perfectly. In jacket/coat weather, I'll carry the Makarov or, mostly, the Feg. In summer clothes, it's the P3AT.

I will not keep a gun that I can't get to run perfectly. I have gotten rid of any gun that failed me and could not be fixed to my satisfaction. My Kahr CW9 went back 3 times to Kahr and when it finally came back I just couldn't trust it so I got rid of it. Same story with a Llama Minimax .45 that would split magazines and FTE constantly. I had a Smith and Wesson 457 years ago that went back to S&W so many times I lost count. They finally sent me a new gun they were introducing that the rep claimed would revolutionize the gun industry, an S&W 40V. That lasted in the heard about 2 weeks before I sold it for $500 to an acquaintance (not friend).

I probably sound like a total prude but I only carry guns that I know were built to high standards and more often than not find myself with one of my surplus military guns strapped to my side. My P64 has been just such a gun. I have only had it for about 8 months but it has secured a place as my every day carry piece along side my Steyr S9. While I love the Steyr I find the P64 to be the perfect carry gun for me. It has never misfired, misfed or failed to extract in any way. It's small size, accuracy and reliability make it an ideal carry piece. I carry it IWB in a Don Hume, SOB with a FIST or OWB with a Fobus.

Whenever possible I carry the Steyr but I find myself opting for the P64 more and more.

Every centerfire pistol I currently own has been 100%... those that have failed me in the past were traded out to the dealer for a "faithful" model. The "faithful" consist of several Glocks, a couple of Sigs, a pair of KelTecs, a SW j-frame, and an old GP100.

Glock 19, no question about it.

I've CCW'd every day for 25 years now and the G19 has been my primary for the last 15 -- never failed me during a course, never failed me at the range, and I don't expect it to fail me when I need it the most (God forbid). I shoot it the most (and, not surprisingly, the best) of all of my many handguns, so it's had every opportunity to do so...

I only have one pistol that hasn't been 100% reliable. My Hi-Point C9 will jam when my wife doesn't keep her wrists locked stiff.

Otherwise, all of my handguns have been completely reliable in every way. My P11 is on my hip everyday and has yet to cause me any concern at all, as it has never failed, not once.

If I had any clue as to round counts, I'd post 'em, but I just haven't counted my shots.

My XD-40 has been flawless since day one. I have somewhere between 2500 & 3000 rounds through it.
My Ruger P-944 runs a close second, I had one ammunition related malfunction around 750-800 rounds. It now has approx. 2500-3000 rounds through it. I would trust either.

My Sig 230 is my old standby. We have a long summer here with lots of t-shirt days and I can slip my Sig 230 into my waistband quicky anytime I'm headed out for a quick trip.

It has never failed at the range.

My current XD40 (subcompact) has never let me down in the two years I've been carrying and shooting it. Before it was a 4" XD40 and a 4" XD45. Neither of those had any issues either I was just trading to find something that fit my hands and clothing better. I've shot several Glocks but never owned one. They seem pretty indestructable and reliable but I keep coming back to the XD.

I had a G19 that was, as per all the ones above, impeccable. I never warmed up to it as an objet d'art, so I ended up trading it off. Not because it wasn't rock-solid though.

(Actually, that G19 trade is the reason that I still have a soft spot in my heart for old slick willie: when that whole Clinton-era ban thing went through, there was such a frenzy for pre-ban mags, and all that went with them, that I was able to trade the G19 with 3 stock hi-caps and about 500 rounds of duty ammo for... wait for it... three lightly used police trade in S&W model 65-3s with the round butts and 3-inch barrels. I sold one to a friend, gave one to my dad-which I'll get eventually-and kept one. History has proven kind to me on that deal; I can still get a G19 with 15 round mags today, but it's getting a lot harder to come up with multiple minty pre-lock K-frame 65-3s...)

Bersas have been with me in 3 different countries now, but not the same unit.

Familiar feel, I shoot well with them, never ever failed me either on 7,65, .22, or .380

My G17 has never failed me. It runs when it's dirty, it runs when it's clean. It shoots anything I put in it. It's not flashy, it's not pretty, but it gets the job done. To me, it's the best handgun I've ever had.
