.38spl Colt Shooting Master

it was my grandfathers when he gave it to me he said he bought it in when he was in high school which would make from the 30's he had it converted to single action for shooting matches.

My Dad gave me a Winchester Model 94 that was manufactured in about 1954 when I was 12. I killed my first deer that fall with it. I'm over 60 YO now; and, I still have it and shoot it occasionally.

My new england arms break action 20 gauge, with fully rifled barrel, its not the fanciest, most expensive, most accurate, or most fun, but its a complete workhorse, theres nothing that can go wrong with it, its light and easy to handle hunting, and its just fun showing off how fast it can be reloaded and ready to shoot again (as fast as a pump with looots of practice)

Uhhhh...the one I have with me if I need it?

( Sorry, couldn't resist...)

I wish I could say...but, I love each of them very much in each their own way...and, soon as I think I could elect one, the merits and charms of the others start to well...

If I had to grab one for an unknown future...and never look back?

It'd be my early Colt Model 1911 Commercial...so, maybe that is a sort of cincher in it's way, far as if I had to live with it as my only Arm.

What is your most prized gun?

My high standard model b that once belonged to my grandfather.

I think it was made in 1934?

Scary accurate and fun.

Otherwise any pistol or rifle that I own that I can attach one of my suppressors on to.

But unlike the high standard there is no sentimental value.

Hmm... I can't pick just one...

Pistol: 1918 Erfurt Luger, WWII bringback by my grandpa, passed down to me through an uncle and my father.

Shotgun: Savage M720... WWII contract built Browning Auto-12, passed down from the same granpa. It was rode hard and put away wet, and then "cleaned" with a wire wheel (although my dad and his brothers still argue over who did it). When I got the reciever was bare metal with deep and active pitting, so I had it reblued by a smith who specializes in restoring antique firearms. Not a heirloom or collectable anymore, but still a great shooter.

Rifle: "Eve" my first "custom" gun. Rem700 action, crazy accurate.

I bought PS6 without knowing its production date and when I requested informational letter from Ruger, their research showed that my revolver just happen to share my wife’s complete birthday-must have been fate. :)

I see a lot of hostory in this post. Personally, each weapon that I buy is bought because it's a must have item. Hence making them all my "favorites". All that aside, I'd have to say my carry sidearm, a S&W Chief's Special .45 ACP is it. Accurate, easy shooter and if neccesary packs a punch. My model 94 will always hold a special place because my father gave it to me many years ago, and my Raging Bull...well...just because it's friggin' awesome.

Two, First my grandad's S&W m44 k frame in 22mag. From the other side of the family my grandma's Winchester 94 in 25-35.

My grandpa's old Enfield No. 1 Mk 4 (I think that's the right number.) Made in 1942. I don't know when he got it or where it had been before that, but I know many a deer were dispatched from this plane of existence by that gun with him on the trigger. He knew my mother wanted it before he passed away so he put it in the will for her. She handed it down to me a few years ago, about 10 years after he passed. I cherish it, but I don't treat it like a safe queen, and I have the feeling he would approve.

For me it would probably be my Mini 14 ranch rifle. Nothing fancy, but it feeds/fires/ejects everything I've thrown at it and it's fairly accurate.

Quite simply, it works for me.

For me it's gotta be my 1953 production VZ-52 in good condition. It was the first gun I bought with my C&R and I love odd-ball weapons. That is a fine rifle.

Nope - not gonna do it - that's like asking which of your kids is your favorite one. Don't get me wrong - kids are more important than guns by far - but choosing one gun over the other is crazy - especially when I adopted each one on purpose.

I'll have to pick two. In Rimfire... it would be a Colt .22 target revolver. In centerfire, it would be my Les Baer Premier II super-tac.

Subject to Change.

My #1 most prized gun would have to be my Winchester 101 20ga. This thing was made in 76 or 77 and is in near perfect condition. I would give it 99%. I have never shot it. I have 2 and the other one gets all of the handling scratches.

I am pretty fickle. If this had been asked 6 months ago I would have said my High Standard Supermatic Citation 106 series. They only made that one 2 years 66 and 67 and this one had the 7" fluted barrel, compensator and barrel weights. Like a fool, I sold it.
