What is your most prized gun?

Marlin 336SS, I always wanted a 336C but I kept putting it off for years while we raised our kids and always seemed to have more important things to buy. I didn't really "need" one since I had a Rem 700 in 30-06. I finally went to buy the gun last year after a 30 year wait and they didn't have any in stock. What they did have was the stainless model and once I held it I had to have it. I love this gun.

My late Uncle Timmy's Sig P250c 9mm. Not the best gun on the market but if the house catches fire, I'm grabbin the woman, the dog, and the Sig.

1914 Springfield 1911 given to me by my G-Father. My G-Grandfather carried it during WWI. Original bluing is nearly non-existent, has some mild freckling from being stored in issued holster while hanging in garage, waiting for an opportunity to dispatch local vermin such as moles and raccoons. Original grips are nearly worn smooth and has an uncle's initials engraved into one of the panels. Despite the years of use and abuse, it still retains all of its original parts and the slide is tight. Yeah... definitely my most prized firearm.

It's a tie.

Either my only Garand: Service Grade from the CMP (arrived early August), or one of my two LE "Jungle Carbines".
Being 55 and having bought my first gun in late '07 (only had a Savage .22), what a question!

Calibre44: One day, I hope to have a #4 as attractive as yours.

That made my day!

Well, thats a tough one.... But either my Colt Python 4' in stainless or my Whinchester 70 extreme weather ss in 308...

Out of all my weapons, it has to be my Winchester Model 72 Bolt action tube magazine .22 rifle, shoots LR's, longs and shorts. Was a Christmas present when I was 12-13 from my late parents. I'm now 57, I Miss you Mom and Dad!

This thread is great; I just wish there were more pictures!

Mine has to be either my Mini-14 (it was my Dad's), or my Baby Eagle .45, which is the only gun I've actually bought for myself.

The Mini has a Butler Creek folder now, which was one of the best Christmas presents ever.

I don't know. I love my Desert Eagle because it was my wedding gift from my wife and I've always wanted one (not for any specific reason other than the fact that it looks pretty awesome.) Then again, the .308 740 Remington was my grandpa's hunting rifle and my grandpa died back in '99. Decisions, decisions.

If I could talk my uncle out of the 25-35 that's been in the family for 4 generations, that would be my pride and joy. No luck yet though...

Ere is my new M1D Garand sniper from the CMP. It is all original other than the cheek pad. It is built on a pre war receiver too! This is definately getting added to my list.

I own several guns including an old double barrel 12 gauge that belonged to my grand father. But if I had to give them all up but one I would choose the $35, single shot 20 gauge winchester shotgun that my wife bought me for our first Christmas 40 years ago.
It is my most prized gun because it came from her all of the others are just toys.:)

hmmmm?

And which of my children do I like the most?
Firearms? There are three, all rifles. All are the result of promises that I made to myself many years before I bought any of them. One is an Anschutz 1827 Biathlon rifle with a Fortner straight pull bolt.

The second is a Rizzini 90L Express rifle in .30-06.

The third is a Browning 1885 BPCR 45-70

My favorite/most prized gun is the old 1903 springfield that my pa brought back from WWII. It was the first center fire rifle I shot, killed my first deer with it, and it is my baby. Following that I have several that are "special". Mom's 39A golden mountie I learned to shoot with, my father-in-laws Remmington model 10 12ga he grew up with, and bird hunted with for years, my great grand-pa's 16ga bolt JC-Higgins, and an old remmington fieldmaster .22 that an old guy down the road from my parents let me buy when I was in HS (he has now passed away). None are my "nicest" guns but they mean the most to me.

Marlin 22 caliber rifle. My dad got it for me when I was 9 years old and taught me how to shoot with it. The thing is such a piece of crap... it's one of those tube loaded rifles that holds 12 rounds under the barrel. It's practically a musket. I think it cost less than a hundred bucks back then. But my old man passed away a couple years ago and I can't bring myself to part with it. I shoot it from time to time and clean it more often than needed. I guess it feels like my connection to him. For as big a piece of junk as it is, it's in many ways my favorite gun.
